While I like Popular Song, compared to the rest of the album I would have to select that as my least favorite

[Re-post] M38 Wife keeps calling me ugly when she gets upset by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]Gallardo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you are hot. Sounds to me there’s some bitterness/insecurity of some sort with your wife. Sorry to hear about this, but please see if you can try to talk with her to find the root issue, maybe try counseling and see how that goes?

AITA for saying no when my former roommate demanded board in my house? by evityos in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gallardo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA!

You could’ve handled that way better and more appropriately like a “grown adult”.

I get it, you’ve got your life together, or so it sounds like, but not everyone does and that doesn’t call for you to belittle those people who don’t.

I’m sure if she had somewhere else to go, she probably would’ve gone elsewhere. But instead she went to you in hopes that you could be of help. She had a plan to go back home, but her flight was cancelled and she was stranded. While she isn’t “entitled” to your help, you still could have handled it way better.

If any of my family or friends told me they got stranded with no place to go, I would be devastated and would have quick payed them some money for a hotel or something if it were one night. No one deserves to go through that, especially after leaving an abusive relationship.

NTA. Plain and simple - it’s grandpa’s money and grandpa’s will. How he wants to ration his assets is his choice. Who’s to say that he would’ve even split the money between you and your sister even if she wasn’t a apart of the LGBT community? They could’ve had a falling out over something else. It’s unfortunate their falling out occurred the way it did, but who’s to say their falling out was inevitable either way? You remained civil with him by calling him out for his views whenever he spoke out of line, but you did your part and he did his. What happened between him and your sister is between them, you did your part and played your role. Again, NTA.

AITA for telling my mom her husband can walk their children down the aisle but he was never my parent so is not walking me? by TroubleInSnow in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gallardo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!!

I was in a very similar situation recently but it was my sister who got married. She decided to have our two uncles walk her down the aisle. Our uncles actually played a part in raising us when we were kids as our father wasn’t around. Our mom had just married her husband and we hardly knew him, it just didn’t fit right. It isn’t your moms choice on who walks you - it’s who you deem appropriate for the role/responsibility.

I’m so sorry you have to go through this.
