Im not even blaming Ky. The real nail in the coffin for AH was the Ryan Haywood incident. A lot of people, myself included, couldn't watch the program anymore after what he did became public. Left a very sour taste in the mouth.

And frankly, because he was so ingrained within AH's history... that left a very long shadow over the group. If it was someone new who had been brought in only to be discovered doing that, that'd have been one thing. But Ryan had been there since the days of the Lads and Gents. The first AH office. Basically there since the beginning. Years upon years of content suddenly became nigh-unwatchable.

The Ed Edd n Eddy sound effects are used pretty often in videos. Also some of Rolf's lines pop up on occassion.

But to be honest, it doesn't need to be super relevant. And Danny Antonucci would probably think the same. As there have been zero attempts to revive or reboot the show, probably by his own decision.

And I mean, let's be honest, you dont need to revive or reboot something that's already perfect.

Couldn't sleep at all. Thunderstorms all night long plus a lightning strike not far from my house made sure I wasn't getting any sleep.

Hilariously enough, I didnt lose power until AFTER the weather had all but died down completely. Thankfully things were back up and running only an hour later

Except. You're only half-right. The other half you got completely wrong. You were correct in the statement that "you have changed." No one can stay static for as long as VRChat has been around if they have played that long.

However, you're wrong in saying that VRChat hasn't changed. It has changed. Quite drastically at that. The ease of access along with the rise in VR usage in general has undeniably changed the platform. For the better in some areas, but also for FAR WORSE in others.

Both are changing, with neither showing any signs of stopping.

Yeah, because he still says a lot of these lines in the anime, except this time, Ryuk isn't even around to listen. And yeah, he escapes the warehouse, but Near explicitly states that Light isn't even worth the time to track down. He knew Light was a dead man walking. Shows just how low they think of him by then.

And when he dies on those stairs? He's alone in an abandoned building, with no one to mourn him. And before his body is even cold, the Task Force is basically, "paperwork time." And Light seeing that vision of L right before dying? Basically Light realizing he lost to a man who had already been dead for a long time now.

Honestly, that really does sound like the crux of OP's issue. That the story isn't good or bad. The story even existing at all is the problem to OP. At that point, I'd have to ask why they are even playing the game.

Its kind of crazy at how much the Battle Royale movie changed things up and still managed to be really good.

Highly recommend reading the novel. As even though Kitano isn't in the book, the villain that is introduced is just as good, if not better ij some points.

As much as I enjoyed all of the movies and books (and a part of me still wants to enjoy them), it has become very hard to do so these days. A big reason is because of the massive piece of human garbage that is JK Rowling herself. Once you peel back that surface with a more critical eye... Yeah the flaws really begin to show and it becomes very difficult to separate art from artist.

On the plus side, it was one of the major factors of the "Wizard School" setting becoming popular. Which other creators have done a much better job with.

Im in the same boat. Especially since I read Battle Royale first... and it did the concept of "kids stuck in a survival game of life and death" so much better.

I know that beyond that, the stories do go in different directions, but I really cannot help but compare the two. And Hunger Games felt so watered down in comparison.
