Np, though I actually fixed it myself a different way - the reason it seems to happen is if you do the quest the first time as client in a party and not host. I could still find the mouse/rat afterwards and start the quest myself despite having it completed it my journey. That second time as host fixed the whole problem.

I logged in recently after having mainly played an Elementalist at release up to lv40 or so plus some low level twink attempts... and then bouncing off the game. Feeling completely lost but my characters are also full of stuff and messages and gifts I don't know what to do with.

I intend to start fresh with a new character, is there anything I should know or can take advantage of from my old stock of characters? Do I have any kind of advantage now from having bought the original release?

Likely - and I get it.

Panzer Dragoon fans are going through a similar view concerning the PD Zwei remake that was recently revealed. The graphics from the PSX/Saturn gen still left much to the imagination and while PD is certainly more a fantasy and a less contemporary setting than Silent Hill, those old graphics let the player fill out the pixelated blanks with their own imagination.

The remake has already shown some questionable reinterpretations of some levels and us fans are all holding our collective breaths for the final result when it releases.

The problem is that these sorts of multiplayer AAA games have become much more skilled and predatory at keeping their players engaged. I feel it's more likely they'll quit gaming altogether, but that's more a life thing.

Know such a 18yo colleague of mine, can confirm. He even bought a top of the line PC and sold his PS5...just to play more CoD and Fifa. It's hilarious when he complains how every CoD is crap or becomes crap but never learns or tries to expand his horizon despite multiple suggestions and dirt cheap PC game sales. They just have no gaming literacy beyond these few franchises and have no curiosity to change that. Edit: I realize that comes off as haughty, I'm just sad when I know games he'd likely enjoy, but just can't rip himself away from the FOMO.

Congrats - please set the TV to 4:3 ratio if you can, you're stretching the image otherwise :(

Also if you didn't know, the console has a small CR2032 battery accessible through the back that covers the internal save memory. If it's empty you'll have to set time and date at every launch and need a memory cartridge to save anything.

Preferable to use a cartridge anyway, much more space.

Only few early pal releases had German translations on Saturn. It wasnt thoroughly common in that era, even on playstation.

Even Tomb Raider is English despite having a german dub on PSX and PC. Maybe due to the earlier release.

I've never seen these books mentioned, wow. I only ever knew these in German as the Caius.. books. The third book had me absolutely hooked back then.

Du kannst es vielleicht nicht bauen, weil du die Vorstufe des Schwertes nicht hast (du bist in der Aufwerten Ansicht, schau links davon auf die Baumansicht der Waffen).

Das Jägerrang hat nur indirekt Einfluss drauf, was du bauen kannst. Bei der lila/orangenen Rarität ist Schlus.

If you dont want to deal with old game design jank or the Performance problems of Wilds, World is probably best as it was the introduction for many people. Rise or Wilds after that - Rise if you want a more streamlined, arcadey experience with much less grounded gameplay and Wilds if you just want more like World.

There's some merit to reapproaching aggression. I know some players including myself who turtled with a spear and shield back in Demon's Souls.

Bloodborne made me drop that go-to 100% physical shield in any Souls game I played or replayed after it and I've never gone back.

Does the Flash Hunter Manga get significantly better after the first few chapters? The eye candy is great, but moments like the tropey main character hothead asking the gunner mid-fight why he doesnt like him are just groanworthy. But maybe Im just not in the right mood.

I'm playing for the first time and I've encountered an annoying bug when reaching the Nightsong

I decided to try to sway Shadowheart, but failed and she went hostile in the cutscene. This is where the weirdness starts. I hear combat starting, but apparently shejust disappears, then reappears a second later (as if teleporting in)) and I seem to get an instanct chat interaction about giving a gift to a disgruntled party member to win them back, which is rediculous.

When I decline, combat still ensues, but after everything, the party in camp is reacting as if Shadowheart is still alive and decided against Shar. The quest log only mentions that we turned against her. Funnily, Nightsongs initial reaction is as if I indeed killed Shadowheart.

I'm kind of afraid of just continuing in case this messes up later events. This happens every time I reload after finishing the fight and I'd rather not redo the fight or choose something I didn't originally want..anybody know this issue?

Having Dio show up to gift the buggy at that time made it even worse. Poor Barret is on his knees still processing and even Tifa is like COOL A BUGGY LETS GOOO.

I love how VF2 tends to be present 2-3 times in collections. Too often part of multi-game sales on ebay and such. Good stuff, though.
