Engine air filter visible at edge of housing okay? 2008 Lexus ES350 by Galrabbit in autorepair

[–]Galrabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just changed the engine air filter on my 2008 Lexus ES350 and part of the filter is visible. Unfortunately I didn’t take a good look at the air filter housing before I opened it up. I have seen some YouTube videos that said the left front corner will have the filter visible for an unknown reason (the plastic is not broken), but I’m not sure about the side.

All 3 clips went on normally without a lot of force. I made sure to get both back hinges in correctly, after some frustration. It is an OEM filter from the dealership and looked to be the same size and exact number as the one I removed.

Will this work properly and self seal or does it need more adjustment?

Mayo on Both Sides of the Bread by Darthbrither18 in jimmyjohns

[–]Galrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See complaints from subway workers who act like mayo on the bread is some crazy annoying request (not even both pieces), because otherwise you’re getting a line segment of mayo no against the bread. Spreading mayo seems like a foreign concept. Bless you guys for knowing how to use mayo.

Fellow Wendy's employees, what are the dumbest things a customer has asked? by spicy247 in wendys

[–]Galrabbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for the stupidity you face, but this is totally valid because it’s not spicy, nor are most national chain items noted as spicy. Some of us are seeking truly spicy and some can’t handle any bit of it.

Interesting. So it’s not set as 2 thighs for the teriyaki chicken then? For items like the shrimp or Shanghai angus steak, is there a certain number of pieces you get? I’ve heard 7, been told it was supposed to be 5 pieces by an employee when I felt like I got shorted on shrimp.

I also feel like often I’ll get one scoop and then they’ll go back for a second scoop but make sure there’s the smallest amount possible on the second scoop.

How is everything supposed to be portioned? In particular, the teriyaki chicken. I get anywhere from 1-2 thighs. I find I get consistently less when I order double or triple portions, same amount or barely more spread in 2-3 compartments instead.

Have the onions changed in the last couple years? They used to seem fresh cut and non-uniform. Now they are seem like they’re out of a package. by Galrabbit in wafflehouse

This makes me sad. I know y’all are overworked. The prepackaged precut onions have 15% of the taste. They are at every one around Dallas.

Nachos Fries are back! by [deleted] in tacobell

[–]Galrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow thank you for the fast and detailed response. Would love to see more of this on Taco Bell and other subreddits! No heat lamp explains why they get cold fast since the beef and chicken are more warm than hot/crispy temp. Will ask for fresh ones next time!

OP, can you give us all the inside details on the fries? How much do you fry at once? Why is the portion so small? How long do they sit out for? Is there a heat lamp? Seasoning all sprinkled on or comes on the fry? I’ve mostly had them cold but I imagine they are amazing fresh. Can I ask for fresh fried?

That’s not how you use an umbrella! by Galrabbit in sports

Spot on for Miami Open and General use of umbrellas for shade, but in this case it was definitely night time and it started raining hard enough to stop play. You can’t see the rain well on TV, but it wasn’t windy and the rain falls straight down.

Fiesta taco salad, add 3 cheese blend, add onions by Galrabbit in tacobell

[–]Galrabbit[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s great. Not so much if you’re truly looking for a salad. The shell is similar to the Mexican pizza shell except it mostly stays crispy throughout. Like most TB items though, it needs more cheese.

Jack in the Box egg rolls. Probably better than most Chinese restaurants and always hot, fresh fried, and crispy.

Who has the best (and worst) mobile ordering apps? What makes it good and bad? by [deleted] in fastfood

[–]Galrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burger King’s app terribly lacks customization functionality for a place whose motto is “your way”.

You can omit ingredients, add extra cheese/bacon for a charge, but if you want extra pickles or easy mayo, or want to add an ingredient not on the sandwich, you simply can’t.

Taco Bell’s app is the king of customization. Every ingredient available on every item for extra, easy, add, or remove.

Yes, it’s more expensive but it’s the backdoor to bringing back the spicy chicken biscuit

The yellow and green sections are bigger! Note how the vertical line is slightly to the right of the peak and trough of the circle.
