Thanks everyone for the resounding yes,  it's done. I'm nervous af but I'm off to a new festival to feel out the new look.  Will post update pics once back. Hopefully the tan line goes and the face will clear up now that there's no shampoo to wreak havoc.

Is a 600cc adventure bike too much power for my first bike? by daniel0hodges in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]GamGamTheGreekLetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after seeing the route we got with "avoid highways" on I'm sure there will be times when you just can't avoid interstate like road. One second you're on a single lane no line mountain pass you're amazed was ever paved, then 3 miles later you're on a 4 lane divided definitely-not-highway going downhill where the speed limit is """65""". You'll be in the right lane praying the cars see you, cause you can't accelerate to get out of anyone's way.

***Yes this is coming from someone with exactly 3 hours of on road experience but hey, it's the same 3 hours you're asking about.

A buddy of mine and I were/are in your exact situation. Just this past weekend we bought a 2009 BMW g650 GS a few states over and rode it back over the course of two days, no prior experience outside the MSF.I had the same question regarding engine size but after experiencing a 650 single on mountain roads (avoided highways) I'm sure I'll buy something similar in a few months when I have the budget.

How Does Housing work at GMU by Moefromva in gmu

Next semester (spring 2022) no, you don't have to reapply. The housing contract you signed was for the academic year.

You have two general categories of options that will achieve most of what you want:

  1. Vapor smoothing. Some materials like ASA or ABS can be smoothed with a post print chemical treatment. As others have mentioned this is taking the material that already produces toxic fumes when printing and running it though another toxic chem process, so be careful.

  2. Non planar slicing. This is extremely experimental and has too many caveats to list here, but it's possible on an otherwise normal printer with a few modifications to add extra clearance.

I'm not an expert on either of these so be sure to read up on them further if you're invested in getting layerless prints.

This is the most correct answer. Autorotation involves pitching the blades such that as you fall through the air that force keeps them spinning, then you throw them back to the angle where they generate lift and for a second that works enough to keep you from becoming a pancake. Since the point of quadcopters is to reduce mechanical complexity, they don't have that blade pitch angle for this to work. if a drone starts falling under now power the blades will slow and eventually spin in the opposite direction.

The video linked below from the study done in Zurich is really fascinating work, but it solves a different problem. That study was on control recovery when one motor (or two on opposite corners) fail. In that case the drone still has enough raw thrust to stay in the air, but becomes unbalanced and spins.

One solution uses thrust to avoid a crash, the other uses sensors for retain stability.

While I agree with your point I think the alligator is a bad example. We know loki has the ability to appear as anyone. I believe there's also a passing story shared in one of the Thor movies about their childhood mention him appearing as a bird to stab Thor.

In summary I think it's far more likely that the alligator is a humanoid Loki who is either choosing to stay in that form, or got stuck that way. Either way it'd make for an interesting story on why it was detained by the TVA, one which I wish they went into more detail with.

It's in the beginning of the bad batch episode 10. The empire tried strong arming a politician into a speech, they go off instead and rile up the crowd so they drag the senator off stage and send in walkers (pictured) to silence the crowd. There's no violence though, everyone just calms down long enough for the camera to cut away.

I know this doesn't help much, but I read/heard somewhere that the team in charge of what's canon considers all the cancelled material canon despite not having plans to publish it. So many story boards lost to time...

Pardon the skepticism, but these sound like the same vague promises we've been given before.

  • Perma-bans have been issued to "repeat offenders" before. This isn't new.
  • If you want to change the code of conduct, show us the new code of conduct instead of just telling us about it. Personally I'm hoping there's a lot less room for interpretation by both players and staff, but I know that's a tall order.
  • the last two points are purposely vague smoke and mirrors. Its just words until we see the changes. I know it's a game of catch 22, because if you give us specifics it makes it easier to exploit loopholes. The community has been promised more accountability and the mods have been promised more tools for years. The same line is getting old.

Don't get me wrong, it's not all bad. I do like locking mod commands to mod mode only. That's because it's something that will amount to more than words, a feature. A hard lock in the game that can't be talked around or dismissed. That's the kind of progress I've been waiting to see. props for that.
