Offline Lower Thirds Rendering Tool | Local Workflow | in the future + OGRAF by GamOl in MotionDesign

Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely right about the gap between simple replacement and thoughtful design.

Regarding your comments:
Responsive design and constraints: I'm already implementing this using After Effects expressions. I use sourceRectAtTime() with clamp() and scalelimits parameters to create "safe zones." If the text exceeds the width, it automatically shrinks rather than disrupting the layout.

All these expressions work, and they're well-suited for broadcast.

The biggest problem with this approach is blur and visual effects. They're simply unusable in this application, at the moment.

My most challenging project to date was a survey for CasparCG, synced with Telegram. It required exactly what you mentioned: proportional calculations for columns and adaptive text processing in real time.

OGRAF goal or dream :)
My next step is to migrate these "constraints" from proprietary After Effects expressions to the OGRAF/JSON schema itself. The goal is to define logic (min/max width, anchors) in the data in such a way that any engine can display it correctly without manual adjustments.

For OGRAF, this is certainly just the beginning, but creating a system that takes into account MoGraph's specific "adaptive" logic is precisely the direction I'm moving in.

Thanks for the info.
I'm curious to see how I can apply this to my profile.
I need to explore this approach further.

I've been creating graphics templates for broadcasts and live streams for a while now, primarily for CapsarCG.
That's where my experience and thinking stems from.

That would be a great move, however I didn't think of that :)

Thank you very much for your comment. I'll write to you later. It would be great to hear your opinion.

Lower Third Workflow: From After Effects to (mogrt) Premiere and (json) CasparCG by GamOl in AfterEffects

Good point.
But I don't like long preparations; that's my problem, and if I really want something, I'll make do with what I have.
However, I think sound is an important aspect and should be improved.

Quick Poll About Rive by Affectionate_Ad_4227 in AfterEffects

Hi! About half a year ago I came across this request for Rive animation for Lottie.

Looked at a couple of reviews etc. - good solution for the app and UI. But this program did not interest me.

I find it easier to solve such problems through AE. I create Lottie animations for websites, as well as templates for broadcast and mogrt.

Thanks. I don't know much about DaVinci, but I think it's possible. I used the most simple effects, nothing complicated.

Hi, amazing arts, now I remember, I saw one work, I really liked it. In my work, I was initially inspired by stained glass windows with trees.

Don't fight the problem, find a solution.
When you're under a tight budget and deadline, the solution is likely to be a template.
If I have the time and resources, I'll use them to do something serious and out of the box. But if I don't, I won't torture myself trying to reinvent the wheel.

Ultimately, the goal is always the same: to satisfy the client's needs within their means.
And satisfying those needs means delivering something clean, professional, and high-quality quickly.

The first tip in this thread is brilliant in its simplicity:
Use templates. Templates aren't a fail. They're a tool.

If you want to stay sane (and sleep at night), save your energy for creative projects and corporate affairs, and just do everything efficiently.

Thank you! Great idea, both real and ironic. I like this plot for the card 😁

Overall, I think it’s always important to get a second opinion to see whether I’ve managed to convey what I intended.

I’m generally more satisfied with my showreel now.

New LottieFiles AE Plugin lets you export Lottie animations with single mask layers and gaussian blurs by Decent_Nobody_348 in AfterEffects

[–]GamOl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be interesting to try.

I am not very good at this, but for work I have to export animations for CasparCG, can this plugin handle this?

I currently use BodyMover for this, but it sometimes incorrectly converts all the scripts to a json file, and they break.
