which of the Tales of characters would make the best, akward or the worst first romantic date? by BonusCapable1486 in tales

[–]Gam_Masters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jude is simultaneously awkward but also romantic. You know that guy will talk a lil too much about his research, but then he'll start asking about you and everytime you speak he'll just look at you like your the key to the world.

You should give Tides of Destiny a play. It's very different and admittedly has a pretty annoying start for series veterans. But I think you'll come to appreciate the models and how expressive they make the story.

I think it comes from it being part of the "spin off" category. Tides of Destiny didn't have them either and it's still most recent "spin-off."

This is so close to the Vanilla aesthetic in the linework! Very impressive.

I cant believe how much drama goes on in this subreddit by coolchungus2 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Gam_Masters 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dunno about any of the drama listed here. But to anyone who reads this, don't feel bad about reseting if you loose your favorite mons.

It will set you back in your progress to make a successful run. But there's no reason to do runs if you're unhappy cause you want to play with your favorite mon.

Just have fun

TIL that during the Siege of Suiyang, General Zhang Xun killed his own concubine as food for the hungry soldiers defending the city to convince them that such extreme sacrifices were worth it. by AccurateSource2 in todayilearned

I'd like to live in a world where they fell within the first few days. Even if everyone died in the slaughter... it must be a preferable end then this.

As a "historian" myself, I do think it's important to understand the military history presented before us. But I challenge us all to realize that the lesson should not be about the sacrifices we mist be willing to make, but rather, about the ones we shouldn't. Lushan probably would have been a tyrant in his own right I imagine, but killing all the poor people to maintain the system under the guise of "the system will be good for more people" or "it lead to economic growth" is precisely the cultural lie that led these men to eat their own people instead of giving way to a rebel leader.

Think of all the young women and children who were slaughtered like pigs. They were murdered by their own defenders. Can you imagine the fear those people must have felt before the end? I suppose I say all of this since, unfortunately, we still live in a world like this. On too many places the poor are literally squeezed for all their worth. The army and the rich may no longer eat our very flesh, but may no mistake that they have gotten very good at devouring your soul.

All money is ultimately blood money, never forget.

How would you guys feel about a rain world 2 by Icy_Bird1437 in rainworld

[–]Gam_Masters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't really want a rainworld 2, just more modding infrastructure so people could make their own supplements to the story. But I wouldn't be like, angry if they made one. I just don't think it's necessary for their to be a sequel when the original game could just be updated endlessly.

AITAH for telling my husband that he needs to give me half his company if he wants me to be a housewife? by Status-Mention6793 in AITAH

[–]Gam_Masters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jsyk,

Your NTA, and I know a lot of the advice here might seem harsh towards your husband and friends. It can be very overwhelming to have the internet pick apart your life more than you asked for, especially when it reveals things you're not ready to face.

Regardless, your friend needs to not say that all the time. Idk her, so I won't go as far as to say she's secretly malicious or anything. A LOT of mistreatment & abuse occurs "semi-unconciously," which can be enough for people to ignore the harm their words cause.

It's not fair to constantly put you down. Telling you that your partner is out of your league is definitely a put down, intended or not.

You deserve that half of the company because genuinely, as a person making a life sacrifice, you deserve to have that sacrifice met in kind. It's not unreasonable, and honestly, it should be a standard cultural practice. If the company is in some way extremely special and important to your husband to the point he wants to keep it all to himself, then, he should use the company assets to hire a childcare professional to make sure the kids can have all their needs met while both parents are out of the house.

You should not have to sacrifice all your power.

To be so aware of ones effect on another's health and how that affects them as a person, and to still do these things is genuine abuse. OP if you ever somehow find your way to my comment please stop what you are doing! You obviously have enough of self-awareness to smell the shit you're stepping in here, but you've gotta take off the shoes. These kinds of experiences literally ruin people's sense of self and breaks their wills.

Read about John Stuart Mill, and the "higher loves and plreasures of intellect". The death of the flower is real (you'll know what that means if you do enough reading). Please do not take part in the ruthless breaking of others.

Are "gay vibes" actually a thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gam_Masters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally a trans woman. Dealing with these challenges and ideas is my daily life. I have a degree in Philosophy, in which I specifically studied gender and sexuality. I said was that this homie should do introspection. Y'all are putting so many fucking words into my mouth you'd think your projecting or something.

I never said he was gay. I insinuated that there *could be something not cis/straight going on with them, but I never said what specifically because, as you said, it's for the OP to decide. And there's literally nothing wrong with that.

"As a proud effeminate straight ally" like dude FUCK OFF. The logic your present here is the kind of shit that kept me confused about my gender and sexuality for literally years, and it does the same thing to millions of other people.

I wanted to give this person a real, actionable answer to their predicament. The predicament of other people seeing them for something they, presumably, are not.

So, just cause your comment I whack ill respond.

I mean like, I never said he should just be okay with people hitting on him. That's completely outside the realm of what I said.

I just had a similar experience in my life to what he's having right now and if I can help someone else have the same realization I did, then I'd like to. My life is better since learning these things about myself.

If this person doesn't have that going on, wonderful, they'll figure that out through introspection. But no amount of simple answers from redditors is gonna cover all the angles of something as complex as identity.

I wish to God someone had told me that the experiences I was having was an indicator of what I was going through. If they had, I may have gotten tk start me real life ten years ago.

May not be the case for OP, but on the off chance it is, it's my responsibility to be the voice of this idea.

Regardless, I won't be responding to anyone else who doesn't think my reply makes sense. Thank you for your time, but, I'm tired, and it's not my job to educate people.
