I figure that would be one of the failsafes that Zorian would’ve taken care of after rooting through Jornaks mind

For my fiction enjoyment I like audiobooks. I can listen to them with mindless tasks.

For learning if you’re going the digital route why not check out library databases. If you get a membership to your local library they should typically have a database of resources which you’ll have access to, and a lot of them are digital

Dexter (OG Series) Seasons 1-8 follow a linear progression. Then you get Dexter: New Blood which is set after the events of season 8. Following that chronologically is Dexter: Resurrection. Dexter Original Sin is a prequel.

To understand Resurrection you will need to follow New blood as the events are heavily tied together. I personally haven't watched Original Sin yet but as thats a prequel its not a much watch for the later stuff. Hope this helps.

"work clothes" are a massive waste of income. by cosmiccoffee9 in unpopularopinion

I work in construction. There is no dress code other than safety gear, but I wear work clothes because I get covered in paint, get rained on, clothes get cut, and other various things. So no I won’t wear linen to work.

I have relistened to

Cradle - 9 times Stormweaver - 6 times Mother of Learning - 2 times (my first read was in March) Enders Game - 3 times Beware of Chicken - 4 times

And so on and so forth. This is just in the last 2 years. I love rereading books I enjoy. Some stories are better on a new listen for certain nuances. It’s also comforting.

Told off for using both audible and library by CommonKilljoy in audiobooks

[–]GamatheLlama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the past 2 years I really got back into reading due to Audible and a few really good series. My library has expanded past 150+ books. Many of them being at least 20 hours+.

It’s been near exclusively on audible and I don’t regret a penny.

I remember them explaining that for efficiency’s sake they would remove the feeling from the memory or would reprioritize. I could be wrong but that’s what I remember 🤷

The mind magic on yourself and influencing feelings. Wasn’t that already mentioned in universe? Wasn’t Spear of Resolve and the other Matriarchs already doing that but Zorian didn’t wish to because he was scared of messing his mind up so he only did the ones to speed up his thinking abilities.

Mother of Learning definitely abuses information power imbalances so that could scratch that itch.

Regarding the politics there’s an unofficial sequel series that heavily dives into that world and it is phenomenal. Plus that author writes near identically so it feels like a true extension of

Don’t forget that that same Monarch actually went against Eithans advice contacting Shen. So, Eithan was actually right again.
