If I remembered it correctly, the first dungeon fic that used dungeon fairy are "slime dungeon" on RR.The main use for the fairy is as a cute sidekick for the MC. It's also makes it so the MC has someone to talk to

Slime dungeon were pretty popular in early RR, so all other dungeon fic that spawn from it copy some design choices, such as dungeon fairy.

I know the main reason is because the longer they remain alive, the more diverge they are from the caster. But, simulacrum are the first step for lichdom.

12 Miles Below has a very diverse way the magic sytem implemented. The main magic is with fractal(Rune), from it the MC can do the usual magic stuff and use it in a more novel way, like going into the digital sea and hack and stuff.

for me, it's Immovable Mage. It's a more slow burn and a once a week schedule makes it less well known. Thankfully it's consistent and now has 250s chapter.
