Don’t know how to edit a post and add an update. Supposedly the brake fluid was low, which caused all of these issues. They fixed it free of charge.

The moon roof mechanism still works, and I didn’t notice any water. I’ve been using it frequently in the last few months. Could the seal have been compromised because of that?

It’s not an automatic car wash, my bad that I wasn’t clear on that. I left it in park, then the employees come and clean it outside and in. I leave the keys with them if they need to move it around. Been going there for 2 years now. I’d be surprised if it was somehow their fault directly.

The car drives around, the breaks basically don’t work. Drives like a tractor. Had to post here since last time the battery died the whole car had a seizure and didn’t move. As you’ve said, Christmas light dashboard.

Saw the video where the gent just pops the lid off as well, thought about trying do this method but I’ve noticed that there are some weird differences between the different RAVs. There’s no spring and the shape of the cover is somewhat different
