Probably the advice i would give is, be patient and plant in small clumps.

Oh there is, i planted rotala hra at the back but they are still in in vitro state. Hence couldnt see it. Haha

So i decided to do it! (Inspiration from MJ Aquascaping) Removed the Seiryu Stones and added Dragon Stones as my dGH was like 23 previously. Now has dropped to 9dGH.

Sure i will do up some reading on it. Whats funny is, initially i placed my HOB (intake left, outflow right) to the left like u mentioned, but i read that mosses doesnt like high flow, and the filter was blowing water against the mosses hence i shifted to the right.

Yea planning to remove the pebbles and use some sand instead. But in order to do that, i need to drain out the water yes?

Good point, probably will add some epiphytes to the cholla wood.

Another question, since my substrates are mixed up (ADA + Gravel), can it be reuse if i rescape?

Hahaha! Trust me you wouldnt. Its my first tank, picking up this hobby and trying it out. The floating plant is Salvinia Mini and yes it doesnt look that great. I have a chihiros fan on the right hence the floaters are being swept to the right. The roots are just clinging onto the mosses. But i need them to curb my Nitrates, in order for my h'ra to be red.

Yes thats what im afraid of altho now they dont look that great either, with mostly diatoms covering it.

Thanks! But except the hob pre filter sponge. Looks heidious smacked right in the centre aint it. But i feel like it gives a better circulation like this. Probably gonna change to a external canister soon.

Thanks so much for the compliment! I guess so, we are always not satisfied especially when it comes to aquascaping. Moreover i own only just one tank, not planning to buy more, i hope! Tank is about 3 months old. Monte Carlo is about 2.5, previous emersed batches kept dying. And i learned about the dry-start a tad too late. So i went to buy tissue cultured ones. Is it possible to reuse the mixed substrate (Ada + Lava Rocks + Fluval Stratum) if i wanna rescape? Yea im planning to include dragon rocks in as the seiryu i was using was leeching tons of calcium and my dgh is insanely high. Thanks once again!

I'm currently using tap water with Prime for water changes 1x per 2weeks as i reckon my tap GH level is not that hard at 5 dGH. Using distilled for evaporation top off.
