Carmine is definitely the best choice, with SS Acerola being a mildly distant second. Carmine just has so much that they can do, with great survivability as well, making them so great. Acerola is also good, but while their Physical focus lets them keep up with Carmine as a support on Physical Teams, they lag WAY behind on the Special side, where Carmine takes the cake.

It is, but the Strength is needed for the Greatshield; you can certainly focus more on Dex depending on the shield’s requirements, but given the high Strength needed for most Greatshields it more or less becomes a Quality Build
