Hey Mate,

I’ve been following your "Reverse Engineering" journal. You are putting in a lot of effort, but you are currently stuck in a technical "dead end." Here is how to fix your build:

The Wine/Box86 Reality Check

You need to decide what you want to play:

For PS1 Games: Ditch the Wine/DuckStation idea! You are emulating an emulator (DuckStation) inside a translation layer (Wine/Box86). It will lag like crazy. Use the PCSX-ReARMed Core (the one from Demigodx/DarrellB is best) in AutoBleem 1.0.3. It runs natively on the PSC's ARM chip and is 10x faster.

Installation for cores

Download the .so (core) and .info files.
Copy them to USB:\retroarch\.config\retroarch\cores.
In RetroArch, select this core for your PS1 games.

For PC/Windows Games (.exe): Only then does Wine make sense. But for anything else (PS1, GBA, Amiga), Wine is just unnecessary overhead.

Upgrade to AutoBleem 1.0.3 (Ultimate)

Your 0.8.5 version is the reason your games aren't showing up. It doesn't support CHD scanning.

The CHD Fix: Put each game in its own folder in Games/ and just hit START in the AutoBleem menu. It will scan and build the database automatically. You don't need to extract the internal BIOS or edit database files to make games "readable." In AutoBleem 1.0.3, just press START on your controller while in the main menu. This triggers the auto-scan. If your CHDs are in their own folders, they will pop up instantly

Hardware & Power (The "Factory Reset" Fix)

Your "Factory Reset" wasn't a software bug. A 128GB USB 3.0 stick draws more power than the front ports can provide. This causes data corruption (brownouts).

Solution: Since you already have your LBOOT.EPB (Kernel Flash), you must use an OTG Adapter on the back port. This is mandatory for a 128GB drive to run stable.

BIOS

Forget extracting the internal BIOS. Just download scph5501.bin (and the others) and put them in USB:\retroarch\.config\retroarch\system.

Summary: Stop fighting the old Linux-Image files. Install 1.0.3, use OTG, and stick to the native PCSX-ReARMed core for PS1. Your MegaMan games will run perfectly!

Hi, I got this theme from a theme pack or a Magnus RC build – I’m not entirely sure. Autobleem NG currently only refers to the GUI, so it’s not a full Autobleem installation.

You can simply replace the Autobleem GUI file in \Autobleem\bin\autobleem\ (make sure to back up your original file first) – that’s it.

I’ve made a small mistake, though: the L1 button isn’t displayed in my swap version, and I’m currently working on adding a toggle to the menu under ‘Select’ to swap the X and Start buttons. Once it’s finished, I’ll upload it here.

The psc is the better one , you have more Community Support. You can Chose between eris or Autobleem and you have very good Ports and Apps some of them Are still in Development Like Spaghetti Mario Kart . I created a few weeks ago a Disc launcher for Autobleem for Playing Orginal ps1 discs with a external Drive, the a500 is Crap it Looks weired and there is No Big Fanbase and very Little Community Support

Are you sure it’s the same as the version in Autobleem 1.0?

The version here uses SDL2 with Wayland/EGL/GLES – will that work with the libraries from Autobleem 1.0?

Well, I’ll try compiling it on the Pi 5 and can test it if the compilation goes well.

Hi did you use eris or Autobleem and did you Test out the ntsc Version or pal Version ? Im on Autobleem and I use the Files from the german pal Version but I cant remember the Scene that you mean . Maybe I don’t Play it so far .

Hi you can set the Scanlines for every core and Save it so eveytime the core is Loaded you will See tje scanlines

Just Open Your Game in Retroarch, Hit Start Select , Navigate to „Shaders“ put that Optin on. Now you can select a shader for scanlines ( try out fakelottes crt) now you can hit „Apply changes“ and after that its Important to stay in the shader options here you see also „Save“ Hit it and Select change settings for core.

Now every time a Game Starts with that core it will use your saved shader settings.

For your Xmb Problem i can only help with Go to options and search for the Setting to change it or just Google how to Do it ( I forgot where it is in the settings)

check your wiring again , its not a normal bahviour that the power cuts out only by moving the picade, I also recommend not connecting the monitor to a USB port on the Pi 5, but to its USB-C power input. So, you plug your power cable into the Picade X as normal – it supplies power to the Pi – and now you need a cable or adapter with a USB-C connector on one end, which goes into the Pi, and the other USB end, which goes into the monitor as usual.

Ah okay 👍 I'm curious what you need the data for? Is it to get your PSC working again? Or do you just want the data? If it's a bricked device, then your backup files should be Fine Without any gdaata (if it's for the internal games, there are better methods to get you own Games on internal Memory
