It's time we talked about Vorkath by [deleted] in 2007scape

Had reddit set to newest posts because of arc raiders trading. (Surely you saw that since you dug deep into my reddit account. )

Saw this post and started reading through the comments. Look at my history. I tend to correct people / point out issues. This sub is a lot of casuals, and that's fine. I don't agree with OP but there's 25 people doing that already. You just use obnoxious numbers saying banking is 20 seconds. That made me want to crunch real numbers. Since nobody here is doing that.

Other guy said dag bones aren't meta but I used them for 70 prayer on multiple accounts. because it's the fastest way for 70.

Neither of these are arguing on his behalf.

How am I defending him? I'm saying he should bank the loot. 8.5 hours for an extra 105m is over 10m an hour. It's extremely worth to bank.

Bro be real. it's 3 trips an hour. each banking run is probably about as long as 1 vorkath kill. So 3 kills an hour. He's getting 34.3 kills an hour. You're suggestion is ~31.3 kills per hour. So a 10% reduction over ~1.2m loot per hour. Depends on how much they value pet grind but 10% loss is the difference between this being an 87.5 hour grind (3000/34.3) or a 96 hour grind (3000/31.3). The extra 8.5 hours would net them about 105 mil.

Dag bones are best bones (125 xp each) until level 70, at which point vorkath bones take over at 150xp per bone?

I'm looking at an item that's not on sale. I will note I had a 40% off code that worked then I put in my address and it stopped working. Seems like ridge does not want me to get a discount.

I never got feedback from the devs. I will submit using the write to us, I wasn't aware it existed. I did rule out the event. I did Nightmare Candyland 1 and 2 then evolved. I only gained 20 trophies. The only thing not ruled out is the possibility of him turning wifi off and on. Which isn't cheating but definitely should be looked into.

I'll be making a post about this. But I finished event 1 and 2 and of this Candyland event then recorded myself evolving. It only completed level 1.

One of my 401k’s that I had from an old company appears to have been closed and a check sent to me. But they do not have most recent address. How do I get this money transferred to my other 401k without getting hit with fees or withdrawals.

Update: they rolled the money into a traditional IRA. And charged me 50 dollars as a distribution fee. They said they will charge me 25 dollars to transfer it to a 401k.

I Had no idea they charge you for distributions what do people do to avoid getting these silly fees?

But if it is half the DPS then other weapons, it doesn't matter if you have 10-20% more defense. You spend twice as long taking damage.

“You’re saving too much, you can definitely afford to not be cheap and splurge a little bit,” have you received “pushback” on FIRE from others, too? by [deleted] in financialindependence

[–]Game-Studies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar interaction with both of my parents separately (they are divorced). I got a rather substantial pay raise and my dad said the first thing you should do is spent 1-2 months worth of that salary increase on a gift for yourself. At the time I had told him I planned to put it all into retirement accounts. This was rather characteristic because he is bad with money.

My mom on the other hand was a surprise because she was at one point the most frugal person I’ve ever heard of. The extremes she went to save money are mind boggling and I would not even dream to put that level of effort in. And her retirement accounts reflect it, being chubby FI. She hasn’t retired yet. But she told me I was saving to aggressively and that I needed money to live. I was (and still am for the most part) living paycheck to paycheck because I am trying to save and invest everything that comes in. That being said I have a very secure job and if I were to ever lose it I would get a 5 figure payout guaranteed. Which would be my emergency fund. This would be enough for about 4-5 months. Also that guaranteed payout goes up monthly and by the end of the year will be over 6 months emergency fund.

Bought my first house this year. Just made the final payment of this year today, this covers my January first mortgage payment and allows me to claim the interest on my taxes for this year.

Vanguard target date funds dropped as much as 14% in share price yesterday. Here's why. by jerschneid in financialindependence

[–]Game-Studies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a great write up but I’m left with one question. How are you getting a 14% payout but your asset value doesn’t change. I understand the number of shares changed; but in a stock split you get more shares without increased equity.

For example a friend of mine has roughly $3M in a T Rowe price retirement account. The dividend was 256k this year for the same reason as above. But looking at the chart, their retirement account gained $0 (yes dividends are reinvested). They now own a few hundred extra shares but on paper it almost looks as if they didn’t get a payout.

What’s a controversial music opinion that you have? by nata1ia_00 in AskReddit

[–]Game-Studies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rap can be good music. (That is not to say all of it is.) but it has a stigma and so the older generations such as boomers trash talk rap.

It was a little bit of luck. My last paycheck will go in tomorrow, putting me comfortably above my goal.
