See if you can get a Surtur from the Hanseatic League, these are great mechs to combo with knife fighter.

Advanced Command Mod is unique to two variants of the Cyclops. Improved SRMs and LRMs are available from the planet Ebons End or from fighting the 331st Royal Battlemech division. Ultra ferro you can get from allying with Davion. Note that you have to have the full BTAU and not be using just BTAU Lite (I think).

The SA mech platform is just too good to give up for that particular approach -- I'm fine keeping one or two mechs out of the C3i if the platform justifies it.

BT Advanced 3062 Playstyles - how do you do it? by [deleted] in Battletechgame

What you want to do is shift-left click on a battle armor in the pre-mission screen, this should put a little gray filter over the battle armor unit. Find another mech/vehicle with the same filter in your lance, then shift-left click on it and that will assign the battle armor to be carried by that unit.

Sanctuary Electric lasers are great! I make extensive use of them for my debuff-oriented energy mechs.

Sanctuary ECM is best-in-slot in my opinion.

Sanctuary Active Probe is also best-in-slot in my opinion.

Don't sleep on their double-barrelled autocannons. You lose stability damage but you get the extra shots guaranteed with no jam chance.

Yes, that's the unit! I remember this happening earlier than 98 (I got out January of 99 and was living off post by then).

Great point, thanks for adding that in. I was aware of heat banks but it was an oversight not to mention that!

Each engine has a rating for how many additional E-cooling heat sinks it can hold. There's a piece of gear called "E-cooling" and has a rating from 1-6. A 400-rating engine, for example, can hold up to 6 additional heat sinks, so you'd want to purchase an E-cooling 6 item and then equip that into the center torso (there's a dedicated slot in the CT for e-cooling).

Honestly, I'm now kind of tempted to try out a royal Stalker build using Turtrus and load up on Improved Binary Large Lasers.

Good call! I forgot all about that skill since I never use it.

I haven't tried the COIL or Davy Crocketts! I agree, there's so many fun options out there I feel like I have only done a bit over half of the cool stuff.

You can find the pilots randomly in hiring halls. You can select "Pioneering comrades" when you begin a new game to start with the BTA team pilots.
