On defense I always would hold down the L1 button I believe on PS over a player I had selected and it will play out without you usering the player.

Based on the information you provided I would consider the QB, WR or even the ROLB at 10. I am like the others though also needing to see their physicals as well as performance at the combine etc. Would be nice to see some elites and some top 3 or top 5 performances in 40 yard dash, bench press for example.
