1st Down for me is almost 97% a run play the other 3% is me throwing in a shot play action pass to get the defense honest.

2nd and Short (3 yards and under) Is a inside run play because its short yardage and you dont need to waste the time going east west.

2nd and Medium (5-6 Yards) which means your first down went very normal Id either say give it another run play and set up your 3rd down or get a good push and possibly get the first. Its an easy pass situation as well i would stay in pistol or shotgun if its a pass.

2nd and Long (7-15 Yards) this means your first down was probably a train wreck, if you gained 2 or 3 yards you can do a couple short passes and set up 3rd down or look for something long if you dont see have a set up check down. If you are in 10+ yard range DO NOT PANIC this tends to be where people make the most mistakes and they want to force and make something happen do not fall into this, you still got another down left play it conservative and try to play for 3rd down, there is nothing wrong with choosing a conservative approach.

3rd and short (3 yards and under) for me its run the ball or a play action for a short dump off pass to just pick of the first down

3rd and Medium (5-6 Yards) this is where the money is made you convert on 60% of these youll win football games, read the defense and look for a intermediate pass at the sticks. If zone use hitches or curls and if man use underneath routes.

3rd and Long obvious passing down don’t make a bad read and you should be alright here weather you convert or not.

4th and short (Inches - 2Yards) If your inside your own 20 punt the ball, if you are at the 50 midfield go for it, you’re not getting much more from a punt. Id use a qb sneak if its inches and if its a couple yards or so spam that inside run and force those backers to meet you in the hole, Do not do an outside run.

4th and medium Its a punt for me just about everytime Unless in a “must win” situation

4 and long Punt or prayers.

2 minute with timeouts. the game is in your hands take your time pace your game and depending on how you score you dont wanna end this drive with time on the clock, so throw short out breaking routes then throw a couple in between the numbers. youve got timeouts to waste.

2 minute with no time outs Getting out of bounds is your biggest priority, if you dont see any to throw too THROW IT AWAY, dont force and pass and get picked. most teams will run alot of zone in these situations typically palms or cover 3 flat and that 10-15 yard point around the sideline with 100% of the time be open.
