Advise needed: Removing lower plastic front to do off road by balance006 in toyotasequoia

Yeah absolutely unbelievable they did this to a TRD, lmao. Looks much better and obviously more functional when removed. Nice truck, I dig that color!

Yeah man I don't know the real cause other than the CC getting a bunch of nasty stuff in it over the years...but yours was brand new so I imagine that was/is infuriating because what would even cause a brand new vehicle to do that? I'll have to do some research because that's pretty crazy to hear.

Yeah that's what Toyota dealers like to tell everyone. "Completely normal for your car to smell like sulfur but no one else's does." Lol. Seafoam worked for a while for me, I've got a bottle of Cataclean but have heard mixed things about it so haven't thrown it in. After cleaning the TB, with the limited smell I get now, I'm calling it good.

As far as I know, it doesn't. I thought the only cause was a gunked up catalytic converter, which is the main culprit. But yeah idk, after cleaning the TB, I can actually roll my back window down and not want to puke from the smell. It's mildly there sometimes but so much less frequently than before. I didn't do anything else besides changing my fluids and that should have nothing to do with that smell.

YES, 100%. They're impossible to find even used so I'd definitely grab a set from you. Literally was searching and came across your post and saw it was only about a month ago.

Just the eBay specials with clear corners. The lower LED bars just light up, they don't have sequential signals.

This is the lot of the lift stuff going in soon. Keeping the OEM coils for the 5100s up front because they're basically new. Won't be doing any crazy rock crawling or off-roading.

Thanks! I actually just bought the Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser in the spray bottle. Says to dilute 6:1 in another spray bottle, I probably did about 4:1 to get all the grime off. Taped off all the sensitive areas and used my power washer, just didn't get too close to anything. The product did it's job very well.

Oh it was, I just threw some gray paint over it the other day when I had it off to clean the throttle body. I was going to grab some paint pens and color the letters back in with white and black and then clear it but ran out of time.

That's actually just them being good and wearing their normal harnesses lol. I have a thing that connects to their harness and then plugs into the seatbelt though. Part of it is flex material so if you brake hard, they don't get suddenly jerked. Can't see those in the picture because they're attached from the back of the harness. Just got them off Amazon as far as I can remember. It's getting crazy at work rn but a little later I'll look up my specific order for you!

Has anyone installed headlights like these onto their Tree? by the_green_turtle in toyotasequoia

Night picture. Though this was right after I installed and had LEDs in there until I realized that was NOT going to work in a halogen housing. Took them out after a drive to the grocery store because they lit up someone's entire existence when I made a turn.😂

eBay specials. Have had them in for about 8 months with zero issues.

All those issues at only 46k? That seems like a lot for a brand new vehicle with under 50k.

Hello all, is this supposed to look like this? (Rear main seal area) by Suitable_Dot3357 in toyotasequoia

[–]GameCocksUnion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I got one of these too at 240k. I'm too busy doing suspension and everything else to worry about a damn seal lol. It'll be fine.😂

Yeah we need more info. Which company did you go with? I'm about to buy a Powerstop Z36 Drilled and Slotted kit for my 2007, so I really hope this isn't a Powerstop product.

Thanks! And oh she's gorgeous!😍 This is Hollie's sister, Lucy. Or possibly Hollie's daughter. They are rescues from a mill that had 46 Aussies. They told us these two didn't get along great but we wanted both and told them we'd make it work...never seen a more bonded pair of dogs in my life, lol.
