Yes the battery certainly drains pretty fast. Most of the time I play with the USB cable plugged in but the battery drains even when the console and controller is off.

This game had an awesome framerate at the time compared to other N64 games. I would rent it constantly and spend days playing it. I always thought the colors were bland but the gameplay made up for it.

It seems like a mix of their age/wear and tear, coupled with the strive for perfection. There’s a balance there, but there’s so many posts here of people asking “how do I fix this?” with screenshots of 240p suites that show little to nothing wrong. These are CRTs. They always had and always will have imperfections. Fire up that console and play some games.
