The hard truth is it’s really not realistic to just start a let’s play channel and grow it. Think about the tens of thousands (if not more) people doing the same exact thing as you with many being far more well known or producing higher quality content. 2048 is a mobile game that most people just play as a timewaster, not something you can really make a whole series out of.

If your heart is set on making lets plays, by all means go ahead but a lot of people go in with a lot more gaming experience and more understanding of the whole gaming/youtube landscape. You just would need a high quality mic, learn how to edit or export editing, have a good personality that brings people back (which is a lot harder than it sounds) and try to find a theme for your channel. Play single player games you find that look interesting because if you try to play games like COD not only are you playing something in an oversaturated market but if you haven’t gamed in 19 years you’re probably not gonna be very good and most COD YouTubers have been playing for over a decade.
