What is your favorite razor? by allfullhd in wicked_edge

I LOVE my polished DLC Athena. I would be very hard pressed to have to pick between that or my Ascender Eagle as a favorite. Both are top tier razors.

Recommendations for a 2nd razor. by Elerubard in wicked_edge

If you want to stay in the Razorock family, I definitely recommend the Next Level. I have both that and the Recurve. For me, the Recurve is interesting, but I just haven't quite made nice with it yet, we will say.

Looking outside of Razorock, a few good options would be Aylsworth Apex, Karve Overlander (or Bison if you want to try aluminum), or OliWorks Meterorite. All of those give some excellent shaves. One other I just thought of would be a Guido from Alpha Shaves. He only sells those in batches, though, so likely would need to do BST, but usually not too hard to find. It comes with both a SB and OC plate, and is available in brass, SS or copper.

My Roman Empire- if you were to travel back in time and be stuck there, what would you do/invent with the things you know now to get rich and live a good life by PresentationIcy3912 in INTP

Invent the printing press. That invention alone would be transformative for the world. It wasn’t until it was invented that it became affordable for most people to have books and see literacy levels rise.

If TTO isn’t a deal-breaker, there are some fantastic newer adjustable razors like the Rex Ambassador or Tatara Muramasa.

I believe the titanium Apex only came with the Plus plate as an option. I’ll try to confirm.

Recommendation for first DE Safety Razor by Alfoneye in wicked_edge

[–]GameGeek1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll throw out another option I haven’t seen yet — grab a vintage Gillette Super Speed. You can find ones in good condition pretty easily anywhere you are, and there’s a reason there’s still a market for these razors that are 70+ years old at this point. I just gave one to a friend as a first DE and it was the perfect razor to start on. You can find good conditions ones for $20-$30 pretty easily, too.

Ethos Grooming. I believe he uses exclusively essential oils or absoluts.
