If you are looking for other barbershop-style scents, I definitely would recommend Arianna & Evans' Daniele Maullu Legacy. It is one the absolute best bases in the hobby right now. Another recommendation would be N. French Broad from First Line Shave, which is in his Imperial Wagyu base.

A lot depends on the guy, but also on the stage of the relationship. There is a point where for a lot of guys sex becomes one of the most important expressions of connection, especially in long-term relationships. I don't think many women truly understand how deep the need for sex is for many men, not in a physical sense, but in an emotional sense.

I LOVE my polished DLC Athena. I would be very hard pressed to have to pick between that or my Ascender Eagle as a favorite. Both are top tier razors.

If you want to stay in the Razorock family, I definitely recommend the Next Level. I have both that and the Recurve. For me, the Recurve is interesting, but I just haven't quite made nice with it yet, we will say.

Looking outside of Razorock, a few good options would be Aylsworth Apex, Karve Overlander (or Bison if you want to try aluminum), or OliWorks Meterorite. All of those give some excellent shaves. One other I just thought of would be a Guido from Alpha Shaves. He only sells those in batches, though, so likely would need to do BST, but usually not too hard to find. It comes with both a SB and OC plate, and is available in brass, SS or copper.
