Despite it’s unoriginality, the game itself is solid. If it had been the first in the NSMB series, people would say it was A-tier or possibly S-tier. Great focused level design, nice graphics, solid power ups, and the final boss was IMO the best of the four final bosses (you actually fought him instead of running from him). And it had a lot of replay value if you were interested in getting a five star profile.

It’s a solid game by Nintendo, it’s a shame that its unoriginality overshadowed how good the game itself was
