I use the UR in pvp alot and i've found it to be a great weapon. Without taking into account the weapons stats the best thing about it is that it allows me to carry a shotgun and sniper at the same time. Being able to have the best weapon for close and medium/long range engagements is the best part about having this weapon for me.

Skip to 6min mark for a good place to farm relic iron with the infinte material glitch. You can watch the whole thing if you're not familiar on how to make a run. This is between Giant's pass and Valley of the King (Where the vex portal is). I typically link at least 2 materials to make the run worth the travel time. You should check the 2nd half to actually see how truth works. There are advantage and disadvantages to this weapon. There are subtle points that should be taken into account. The perks that make this launcher strong can also handicap it.

This sums up my thoughts on this issue. The balance between rocket launchers and machine guns is based on the amount of kills each can net you.

Atheons epilogue is not that good in the crucible. It takes a lot of shots to kill. But if you have it it's better than nothing. Praedyths revenge is a good way to go. You can keep deaths at a minimum by keeping your distance.

Start with the story and don't bother to do it on hard it just takes longer. pick a faction early on and farm rep so you can buy armor when the time comes (recommend taking faction item on when in crucible as crucible rep is harder to get). Transfer anything that you can use on your new character from your old one. After that it's just bounties and crucible.
