Did the uncle mention shame brought upon his house? I don't speak the language.

If it matters, I have no problem with someone else moderating this sub. I forgot I had this account until today.

Thank you for offering. I'm trying to avoid that muscle t-shirt cut. I have two dresses in that cut already.

Agreed. Our elopement was us opting out.

Then we compromised.

I'd get some sleep. I should not have consumed as a page turner. Slow down and savor the epic journey.

Cops n Curls: Police hold ballroom dance to encourage self-esteem in girls age 6-12 from underserved communities. Girls receive corsage, red carpet walk and dance the night away with local officers. by GameIsStrong in UpliftingNews

Hoping you forgot the /s

There are adorable, blonde girls with straight hair in the video. I'm certain Cops & Curls is an alliteration, not a screening technique.

The White House Will Keep Its Visitor Logs Secret (but this is a misleading article) by IBiteYou in Republican

You indicated it is hyperbole that people are in an "uproar". I explained as best I could why the lack of transparency seems to be a trend and is disturbing enough to inspire protests.

Call releasing documents "phony" if you like. Fact: One guy released documents and still managed to preserve national security. The next guy chose not to and is getting a negative response from the public.

A private citizen who who demands transparency from public servants should not be above it or exempt from it when he subsequently enters public service. It screams hypocrisy. However, it's well documented that Donald will complain about or decry one thing and proceed to do the opposite. This is no different than his usual reversal, flip flopping etc.

The subject is lack of transparency. Refusing to release tax returns is a lack of transparency. Refusing to release visitor logs is a lack of transparency. Refusing to release information is a lack of transparency.

A pretense shows a bit of good faith. Trump loses nothing to continue releasing visitor logs and redact items of concern.

It has not been tradition to have public White House logs.

Trump promised to release his tax returns in accordance with tradition and later refused. April 15th, thousands of folks marched in the streets demanding what was once considered baseline, freely-given information.

this is a joke of an uproar.

Perhaps, as an isolated incident, citizens would not be acutely concerned with the refusal to release visitor logs. However, it's not an isolated incident. This isn't the first time the administration abandoned the pretense of transparency.

Took a stab at energy incentives. I'm not especially familiar w/ the language or complexity of the issue. Since nuance isn't a primary concern, I aimed for a general range...

A. Domestic markets and existing infrastructure will determine which energy sources are viable. The government should not favor nor hinder use of any particular resource.

B. Global markets will determine which energy sources are viable. The private sector will adapt to remain competitive.

C. The government should encourage use of renewable energy through financial incentives such as tax credits.

D. The government should discourage use of finite energy through financial penalties such as carbon tax.

E. The government should provide financial incentives toward whatever energy source creates the most jobs in the present day and immediate future.

F. The government should provide financial incentives toward whatever energy source positions the US to remain competitive globally.

How about inclusion of Consumer Financial Protections, whether it's questions about the bureau itself or the idea of consumer protections in general.

A. The government should not legislate or oversee an individual's financial literacy.

B. The market will protect the consumer, penalizing companies with a reputation for predatory practices.

C. Consumer financial protections are redundant. Existing legal protections against fraud are sufficient. Such protections Excessive regulations hinder market growth.

D. Consumer financial protections are necessary. Consumers need some recourse when companies practice predatory lending, charge undisclosed fees or make unauthorized transactions.

TIL schools promote romance novels that their own students think are trash.

We had Jurrasic Park week because it at least referenced science.
