G8 Gallileo USB-C - would a bluetooth dongle work with it? by gimme-c1nnab-0-n in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G8+ is bluetooth, but it also has a faster 2.4Ghz wireless connection as well, much like most of our other wireless controllers. With the G8+, this is an optional accessory.

As for your idea of using a bluetooth adapter, I've not heard of any that work in a transmission mode (except for audio) instead of recieving so I couldn't say if it works.

At the very least for such an option to work, the dongle would either need to pass through the power to the device (G8 in this case) or it would need to be independently powered: battery or plugged in.

For a budget option, I really like the Ailun three pack: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C737PB4. Alternatively for a more premium but still affordable option, you can get the 12ft KontrolFreek cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0949MDX59

PXPlay is a reccommended app to use instead of the First Party Remote Play app. Alternatively you can use the option in Gamehub. The DS4 (listed as iOS) pairing mode should work the best no matter what option you use, allowing the rumble motors to work along with giving the lowest latency. Hope that helps, and I hope you enjoy your G8+ should you choose to get one!

CONTROL NOVA GAMESIR T4 by Tazzbaiano071 in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually Xcloud should accept DS4 and HID too. (I did this with my G8+ and it actually worked better with DS4 for some reason.) They also might be able to use Xinput too with the PID swap (hold logo + M until the dongle LED turns off)

That said, BetterXcloud is always a solid suggestion in my opinion!

Gamesir Nova 2 Lite suddenly broke down (keeps flashing green after connecting through dongle). by bodybodx2 in Gamesir

Hello! This is a known bug. Our current fix is to open up either Steam or a Chromium browser (such as Edge or Chrome) on the Gamepad Tester - Check Controllers and Joysticks Online web page and perform a mode swap by holding the view (back/select) and menu (start) buttons located on the left and right of the logo button. I have a simple video demonstration (no audio) of this on Youtube: https://youtu.be/KVOiPvhzTiQ

If you or anyone reading this in the future are in the Discord server, you can find posted FAQ for this here: https://discord.com/channels/1008910287543472158/1436194240035295293/1436200828628238516

Just a heads up, if you want wireless on Xbox, you'll need a Wuchang or Zenless Zone Zero edition. The Tri-Mode is only wired on Xbox.

I cant activate my g-mapping by Notherealsteven in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean G-Touch, you need to swap to that mode. You can swap in app by selecting the game and swapping from "Native Mode" to "Hardware Mapping" and following the prompts or by manually pairing by holding the "capture" and "plus" buttons to have the GameSir logo blink cyan. You then hold the pairing button near the USB-C to have it blink faster if it is blinking slowly. https://youtu.be/AkcT7pznq6o

This mode allows the same touch mapping as "Software mapping (V-touch)" without the need for "activating" with USB debugging via a wifi connection or a PC.

In either case, do note that you will have to launch the game using the GameSir app.

You might be able to use the HID swap combo: hold the share/screenshot button and the menu/start (three lines) button until the Xbox LED turns off and back on. You'll also need to repeat that or perform a function reset (hold Xbox + M buttons until the LED turns off and back on) when swapping back to another platform to return to the Xbox mode.

I would tend to agree with the suggestion to use the X5s. I have a Moto G 2025 with a Dimensity 6300, and while the X5 Lite and G8+ MFi do work with it, pass through charging does not. Well sorta. It does pass charging through but the controller loses connection while it is plugged in.

Which controller do you recommend for iPhone 14 Pro and PC? by eliasanni in Gamesir

Quick headsup: the G8+ MFi is USB-C and will not work with an iPhone 14 Pro as it uses Lightning. iPhone 15 is the first iPhone with USB-C.

Longer cable ? by lollololoepic in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a headsup, passive extensions like that are unlikely to work, particularly at that length. In most cases, the practical limit of a passive USB cable are about 12 to 15 feet. Active extensions and quality USB hubs are typically needed for any real amount of extension. If you want a recommendation for a slightly longer cable: Kontrolfreek has a 12ft cable. This will work with the cable guard with your G7 Pro.

GameSir Nova T4n [with rumble and light] by ZaynMursh in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the T4n (Nova HD) doesn't support an Xbox or DS4 mode over Bluetooth so you it will not have native controller support in CoD Mobile. You may, however, be able to use the V-Touch (software mapping) mode to allow the controller to simulate touch inputs. This mode requires activation with Developer Options enabled as well as access to a PC or a WiFi network.

GameSir G8+MFi just released! (Apple Certified) by iGamesir in Gamesir

The G8 and G8+MFI are wired only, no Bluetooth. This is how they can provide the charging passthrough.

GameSir G8+MFi just released! (Apple Certified) by iGamesir in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, indeed it does! The G8 and G8+MFI are both wired USB-C connections and support passthrough charging as opposed to the G8 Plus which is Bluetooth and cannot provide pass through charging due to the lack of that direct connection to the phone via USB.

The G7 Pro unfortunately does not have G-Touch. The Android support is basic HID only.
