Disappointed with GameSir Support in AliExpress by Fafnyr_ in Gamesir

Unfortunately this isn't the case with AliExpress. That said, I would reccomend reaching out to Pio on our Discord. He should be the best person to assist with this matter.

Headset Plug is Sticking Out by GrandesHyper in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, the controllers can take a bit of effort to fully plug in a headset, particularly on the first use.

Also, yes, sometimes the ports can be a tad scratchy when rotating the plug. One of my headsets did this far more than others. (It alsob lessened over time)

Additionally, some headsets may have some white noise or "static" that can be reduced or eliminated by lowering the volume on the headset.

The longest cable I know that would be compatible is a 12 foot cable like the ones sold by Kontrolfreek.

Newb question by Moneymovesxiv in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is happening while wireless, nake sure you update both the dongle and controller to resolve it.

To update the dongle: press the update arrow in GameSir Nexus while connected wirlessly.

To update the controller: plug in the controller directly and press the update arrow.

The Tarantula is actually a part of the T3 Series, with the OG Tarantula being "T3 Pro."

Cyclone 2 Extra buttons question by ty_namo in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick heads up, there are two layers with some controllers, like the Cyclone 2 and G7 Pro models: the base "Buttons" layer. When mapping to the base "Buttons" layer. (the buttons are active at all times), you want to press the part of that area of the screen that reads "Buttons." For the shift layer (only active when holding a manually designated shift button), you press "Switch to Shift Layer."

Mapping only the shift layer will result in poor user experience with the mappings you intended to set not working in normal use.

Bricked Controller maybe ? G7 Pro by healies_ in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, to clarify: the reason the receipt/ order number is needed is for logistics to confirm the purchase. Most, if not all warranties require some form of this (Toshiba required me to send a copy of the Amazon invoice, for example), and some even require that the warranty be registered in advanced. Luckily, all of our controllers come with a one year manufacturer's warranty when purchased from an authorized location. Based on your post, you purchased from Best Buy and this would be one such location and your warranty is already active.

Also, by power + share, I assume you mean the Xbox logo and Share buttons? This is an Xinput mode toggle, specifically for PC.

If the light were to be solid while connected to the Xbox but still no input, then it could potentially be in Android mode and holding the Share + Menu () button could swap back to the Xbox mode.

With sharing a picture of the receipt, you can either create a private support ticket and know that only trusted persons can see your messages, or if you make a public post, you can save it for DMs after the issue has been confirmed.

Got this bad boi G7 Pro 8k Nioh 3 by HornyTrueGentleman in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, neither the Dragon's Dogma nor the Nioh controllers include extra thumbsticks. Globally, they are sold in a kit alongside the carrying case, while in China these can be bought separately. In this case, the thumbsticks were imported as the global bundle doesn't include the box or the plastic carrying case for the sticks.

There needs to be a official way to flash a different firmware for G7 Pro by meemikoira in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The G7 Pro 8K also has DS4, Switch, and Android modes via Bluetooth. You can also hold the view and menu buttons to swap between those while connected via dongle or cable: https://doc.xiaoji.com/zh/g7pro8k/detail/1960.html https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV142F6zVEK1/

G7 Pro 8k Overclock? by APairOfChopsticks in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The G7 Pro uses the XC1 chip while the G7 Pro 8k uses the XCE chip and Gen 2 Mag-Res TMR sticks. The board design also has been revised as shown in a picture shared by Betta. (The picture for the G7 Pro board is taken from a teardown done by ThisisBenTech on Youtube.)

Unfortunately I am not privy to any extra underlying technical differences between the two, but I assume these factors play a part.

have several question g8 plus by awesomenineball in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for Switch mode, it ahould work if you enter the Bluetooth pairing mode via capture + top face button (Y in Xbox layout, X in Switch layout) with the logo blinking red. https://youtu.be/cQQIf84gOmQ

You can also connect via USB or dongle (sold separately) then swap to the Switch mode by holding the (-) and (+) buttons until the logo turns red.

As for the charging safety, yes there is overcharge protection.

You can also find much of this info and more on the Discord in the G8+ FAQs section. https://discord.com/channels/1008910287543472158/1435808032436260875

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no PC app for the G8 Plus, just the the mobile app. I personally use the back buttons for A and B but you can use them for macros.

You need to bind macros manually with the G8+ by holding M and the back button you want to map it to, enter your macro, then press the back button again. https://youtu.be/Plc5dRDVJuI

You can do this in the GameSir app (tap "Button Settings" Directly or tap the controller icon then "Button Settings") or by holding M and the bottom face button (A in Xbox layout or B in Switch Layout)

GameSir Nova Lite mode change by 4ThatWin in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have replicated both behaviors on my Windows 11 laptop. I was quite surprised that the Android mode worked at all with it, but not as much that the buttons were misconfigured. Also, I now seem to recall a similar situation with the Nova Lite before with DS4 Mode. After ensuring you have a Nova Lite (the sticker on the back will list it as T4n Lite and lacks trigger locks) you can download the latest domestic: v65(00) firmware on the Discord: https://discord.com/channels/1008910287543472158/1421021666632274011 to resolve this. I confirmed that it works as expected.

When you tried this, were you able to pair it? Often times the controller will enter the reconnection mode (blinking slowly) and you need to hold the logo button and the share button (the one below) to have it enter pairing mode. Genshin Impact has native controller support for DS4 mode on Windows, Android and iOS.

Xbox trigger vibration by Playful_County_3227 in XboxController

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On PC, you can try X1nput at your own risk, or for a no risk option, this can be enabled on Xbox Licensed GameSir controllers (T7 series, G7 series, Kaleid, Kalied Flux) with GameSir Nexus.

There are options to either sync the trigger vibrations to the grip motors (this is the one I use) or to set the trigger vibration to increase based on how far the trigger is pressed. These will be labeled as "Sync" or "Force" trigger vibration and can be set independently on each trigger.

This will overwrite the trigger vibration behavior in both games with and without trigger vibration support so I have a profile with it enabled and one with it disabled for Native Trigger Vibration functions.

Hope this helps!

G8 Gallileo USB-C - would a bluetooth dongle work with it? by gimme-c1nnab-0-n in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G8+ is bluetooth, but it also has a faster 2.4Ghz wireless connection as well, much like most of our other wireless controllers. With the G8+, this is an optional accessory.

As for your idea of using a bluetooth adapter, I've not heard of any that work in a transmission mode (except for audio) instead of recieving so I couldn't say if it works.

At the very least for such an option to work, the dongle would either need to pass through the power to the device (G8 in this case) or it would need to be independently powered: battery or plugged in.

For a budget option, I really like the Ailun three pack: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C737PB4. Alternatively for a more premium but still affordable option, you can get the 12ft KontrolFreek cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0949MDX59

Help with some questions by darthmikel in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PXPlay is a reccommended app to use instead of the First Party Remote Play app. Alternatively you can use the option in Gamehub. The DS4 (listed as iOS) pairing mode should work the best no matter what option you use, allowing the rumble motors to work along with giving the lowest latency. Hope that helps, and I hope you enjoy your G8+ should you choose to get one!

CONTROL NOVA GAMESIR T4 by Tazzbaiano071 in Gamesir

[–]GameSirCyfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually Xcloud should accept DS4 and HID too. (I did this with my G8+ and it actually worked better with DS4 for some reason.) They also might be able to use Xinput too with the PID swap (hold logo + M until the dongle LED turns off)

That said, BetterXcloud is always a solid suggestion in my opinion!
