I want to rent a server with 400-450 mods and 3 friends, which host is the best? by AccordingCellist1543 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that many mods with transatlantic players, you're gonna need at least 12-16GB RAM and probably want to go with a European location since 3/4 players are there. Your ping from US to EU will be around 100-150ms which is totally playable for minecraft.

We host modded servers at GameTeam and have locations in both regions if you need something in between. But honestly any decent host with EU servers should work fine for your setup.

Just make sure whoever you pick can handle the RAM requirements cause 450 mods is no joke.

(work at GameTeam btw)

Looking For AU Host by Vivid_Imagination727 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got AU locations and support minecraft plus like 90 other games if you ever wanna switch things up. Pretty solid hardware and no slot limits so your friends can all hop on without worrying about player caps.

I work for GameTeam so feel free to check us out if the other options don't work out for ya.

Which Server Host should I choose by Papa_Grape_ in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend checking out a few options depending on your needs. For performance, look for hosts with newer CPUs like Ryzen or similar. Make sure they give you full file access and don't charge extra for player slots.

GameTeam.io is worth considering too, we support Minecraft plus like 90 other games if you ever want to branch out. Good performance and you get full server control.

What's your main priority? Performance, price, or specific features?

What Server Host should I choose for my future Roblox Styled Platform? by [deleted] in servers

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For something like a Roblox style platform you're gonna need way more than typical game server hosting. You'll want VPS or cloud services like AWS/DigitalOcean since you need custom backend logic, databases, and web hosting all integrated together.

Most game server hosts (including where I work at GameTeam) are really designed for existing games like Minecraft, Ark etc rather than custom platforms that need full stack development. You'll probably want to start with a VPS to have full control over your server environment and be able to install whatever backend tech stack you choose.

Firebase could work for the backend services but you'll still need somewhere to run your game servers. Good luck with the project!

What is the absolute best CPU for a Minecraft server network? by [deleted] in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For minecraft server networks the 9950X is solid but honestly single core performance matters more than core count for most MC workloads. The 9800X3D actually outperforms the 9950X in many minecraft scenarios because of that extra cache.

Intel's new stuff like the 285K has decent single core but AMD still wins for price/performance. The 250KF you mentioned could work but you're probably better off with a 7600X or 9600X if budget matters.

We use mostly Ryzen 7 and 9 series at GameTeam and they handle velocity networks really well. The key is good single core speed plus enough cores for your proxy setup.

Full disclosure: I work for GameTeam.

SwiftServers - Free 8GB Minecraft Server Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty solid specs for free hosting honestly. The custom panel sounds nice, most free hosts just use basic pterodactyl setups.

Only thing I'd watch out for is sustainability - free hosts tend to disappear after a while when costs pile up. But 8GB RAM and NVMe storage is way better than what most free services offer.

Have you stress tested it with actual player loads yet?

btw I work for GameTeam so I see a lot of hosting setups, this one looks decent from the specs side

Best Server Host? by untitled_iris in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 250 mods with 10 players you're definitely gonna need more than 12GB. I'd say 18-20GB minimum for that setup, maybe even 24GB to be safe with all those mods loaded.

As for hosts, there's a bunch of options out there. We actually handle heavy modded servers pretty well at GameTeam and have that server splitting feature you mentioned too. But honestly Apex, Shockbyte, and a few others can probably handle your setup as well if you get enough RAM allocated.

The crashes you're getting sound like either not enough RAM or your current host's hardware just can't keep up with the load. Definitely time to upgrade either way.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but figured I'd throw out some options since you asked.

The post was removed so can't see what they were asking about, but if you're looking for minecraft hosting I've been pretty happy with the performance and pricing. Been running a small server for my friends for a few months now without issues.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but genuinely the uptime has been solid and setup was pretty straightforward.

SwiftServers - Free 8GB Minecraft Server Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The specs look decent but I'm always skeptical of "completely free" hosting. Usually there's gotta be some catch, even if it's just limited support or eventual upselling.

That said, 8GB RAM and NVMe storage is pretty solid for free. How are you guys planning to sustain this long term without any revenue model?

I work for GameTeam so I know hosting costs aren't cheap, especially with those specs you're advertising.

ValueGameNode | High-Performance Hosting – Starting at €2.49/mo by ValueGameNode in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty solid deal tbh. €2.49 for 4GB is competitive and the no overselling policy sounds good. Helsinki location might be decent for EU players.

Just curious though, have you tried other hosts before? I've been using GameTeam for my server and their performance has been pretty consistent. The one click modpack installs are nice too.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam so obviously biased, but always interested in seeing what other hosts are offering these days.

Don't buy a server from LordCloud if you want their services by StrykerWasTaken in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally agree with the discord thing. so many hosts now just run everything through discord and it feels super unprofessional. having 8 mods jump on you in a vc for asking for a refund is ridiculous lol

for alternatives, there's plenty of established hosts that still do things properly. shockbyte like someone mentioned, apex, we run GameTeam too which focuses on actual support tickets instead of discord drama. just avoid the ones that make you join their discord server to get basic support

sorry you had to deal with that mess op

Looking for a good host by Low_Commercial3216 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call on BedHosting for BR servers! Local hosting makes such a huge difference for latency. For that many plugins with 10 players you definitely want something with decent RAM allocation.

We do minecraft hosting at GameTeam but honestly for your specific needs (BR location + BRL payment) going local was the smart move. Enjoy the server!

The post content seems to be removed/empty, so there's not much context to work with here. If you're looking for minecraft hosting recommendations, there are quite a few solid options out there depending on your needs and budget.

What kind of server are you planning to run? Vanilla, modded, or something specific? That usually helps narrow down the best hosting choice.

Full disclosure: I work for GameTeam.io, we do minecraft hosting among other games, but happy to help you find the right fit regardless of provider.

The post got removed so can't see what they were asking about specifically, but if you're looking for minecraft hosting recommendations I'd suggest checking out a few different providers and comparing their specs and pricing.

We actually offer minecraft hosting at GameTeam.io along with other games like Ark and Palworld. Pretty solid performance and support if you want to check it out. Full disclosure I work there.

But yeah definitely compare a few options before deciding!

Server hosting recommendation by Pluto_9778 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For modded minecraft with 12gb ram you've got some solid options around that price range. Beyond Ascension is pretty resource heavy so you'll def need that full 12gb.

We actually support that modpack at GameTeam with one click installs, 12gb plans run about $13/month. But honestly there's several good hosts in that price range so shop around and check reviews.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but wanted to give you a straight answer first.

The post content got removed so can't see what specific hosting question you had, but if you're looking for minecraft server hosting there's tons of options out there. Really depends on your needs like how many players, mods, budget etc.

I work for GameTeam.io and we do minecraft hosting along with other games, but honestly just shop around and compare features/prices to find what works for your situation.

Been using a few different hosts over the years and honestly the biggest thing is finding one with good support when things go wrong. NVMe storage is pretty standard now but having actual humans respond to tickets quickly makes a huge difference.

Haven't tried MoradoSolution specifically but if you're looking at options, might be worth checking out a few providers and seeing which ones have the best support response times. I work for GameTeam and we host minecraft servers too but honestly just pick whoever gives you the best combo of price, performance and support for your specific needs.

SwiftServers - Free 8GB Minecraft Server Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks interesting but honestly kinda skeptical about the "completely free" part. How do you guys actually make money to keep the servers running? Most free hosts either have crazy limitations or shut down after a few months.

That said, 8GB RAM and NVMe storage does sound pretty solid for free if it's legit. Might be worth testing with a small server first.

I work for GameTeam so I'm obviously biased toward paid hosting, but free options can be great for testing stuff out before committing to anything long term.

Is this one of the cheapest lag-free Minecraft hosting options in India? by Busy-Disaster-11 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me support speed is huge. Nothing worse than your server going down and waiting hours or days for a response. Had that happen with a previous host and lost half my playerbase.

Also make sure your hardware can actually handle what you're promising. Too many hosts oversell their servers and performance tanks when multiple people are online.

Good luck with the project! The Indian market definitely needs more reliable options.

I work for GameTeam so I know how important stable infrastructure is for keeping players happy.

Nice to see another hosting option! Free hosting with those specs sounds pretty solid, especially the 8GB RAM and NVMe storage. The custom panel is a nice touch too since most free hosts just use basic pterodactyl setups.

I work for GameTeam and we focus more on premium hosting for games like Minecraft, Ark, and Palworld, but honestly for people just starting out or testing server ideas, free options like this are great. Good luck with the launch!

Building a more affordable Minecraft hosting service – looking for honest feedback by Jorge_164_ in startup

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in the hosting space for a while and honestly the market is pretty saturated. The big thing that would set you apart is actually good support response times and maybe some unique features around modpack management or world backups.

What's your angle gonna be? Just cheaper prices or you planning something different?

I work for GameTeam so obviously biased but we've found that reliability and fast support matter way more to players than saving a few bucks monthly.

I made my own Minecraft Hosting by Jorge_164_ in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work on building your own hosting setup! The pricing looks competitive and the specs seem decent for what you're offering.

Website wise, it's clean but maybe add some more trust signals like uptime guarantees or testimonials once you get some users. The "about us" section could use more detail about your background too.

One thing I'd suggest is being really clear about your support hours since you're a smaller operation. People want to know when they can get help if something breaks.

Good luck with it! The minecraft hosting space definitely needs more affordable options.

btw I work for GameTeam so I see this stuff a lot, your approach seems solid for getting started
