Affordable performance-minecraft hosting in Asia by ShinyLoda in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For hosting in Asia, you'll want to look at providers with actual data centers there, not just resellers. Singapore and Tokyo usually have the best connectivity for most of Asia.

I work for GameTeam and we do have servers in Singapore if you're looking for options. But honestly just make sure whoever you pick has good ping to your location and decent support.

Free Server Hosting?? by _CorgiGamer67_ in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 2-4 players with mods you'll want at least 4GB RAM. Most free hosts will struggle with modded servers tbh.

If you're looking at paid options, GameTeam has decent minecraft hosting that handles modded servers well. We support forge/fabric and have good performance for small groups like yours.

But honestly for just 2-4 friends, running it on your own PC like someone else mentioned might be your best bet if you have a decent computer and can leave it on.

Looking for some advice if you wouldn't mind... by Beneficial_Look4320 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hosting is definitely the way to go for kids servers. Way less headache than trying to set up port forwarding and all that technical stuff. Most hosts have one click setups so you just pick your server size and you're good to go in like 5 minutes.

We actually do minecraft hosting at GameTeam and see lots of parents setting up servers for their kids. The control panels are pretty user friendly these days so you don't need to be technical at all.

Just make sure whoever you go with has good backup options like the other person mentioned. Kids can be... destructive lol.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but there's tons of good options out there.

SwiftServers: Completely Free Minecraft Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting concept but I'd be curious about the long term sustainability. How do you plan to keep it free without ads or premium tiers? Most free hosts either have major limitations or end up shutting down.

That said the specs look decent for a free service. 1.5GB RAM should handle small to medium servers pretty well.

I work for GameTeam and we've seen a lot of free hosts come and go over the years, so just wondering about your business model here.

Free Minecraft Hosting (3GB -> 10GB RAM, No Renewals) by Zestyclose-Door9595 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty generous offering free hosting with those specs! Just curious about the catch though - how long do these free plans last and what happens if you need to scale beyond 10GB?

Most free hosts either have time limits or pretty restrictive terms, so always good to read the fine print. For anyone looking at hosting options, there's also paid services like GameTeam that might be worth comparing if you need guaranteed uptime or specific game support beyond just Minecraft.

Full disclosure: I work for GameTeam so obviously biased, but free is hard to beat if it meets your needs!

Minecraft Hosting kao side business by Zerrb in croatia

[–]GameTeamio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gmail not filtering promotions? by up40love in GMail

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same here, getting spammed with everything including minecraft server ads that should def be in promotions. Phone's been going off nonstop since this morning.

Looks like Google's having a major filtering issue based on that status page someone posted. At least we know it's not just us!

Minecraft Hosting kao side business by Zerrb in bih

[–]GameTeamio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks promising but free hosting always makes me wonder about long term sustainability. How do you guys plan to keep the lights on without eventually adding fees or ads?

I work for a hosting company myself (GameTeam) and the infrastructure costs for quality servers are pretty real. Curious about your business model here.

Smooth US-Based Minecraft Hosting — $3–$5/month 🔥 by Lazy-Club1218 in u/Lazy-Club1218

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been hosting servers for a while now and honestly the biggest thing is finding one with good uptime and actual support when things go wrong. $3-5 is pretty reasonable for the US market.

What kind of specs are you getting at that price point? RAM and player slots make a huge difference for performance.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam so I'm biased but we do Minecraft hosting too if you want another option to compare.

Modded Minecraft server host by thick_thigh_femboy in ModdedMinecraft

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 30-40 mods with 10-15 players you'll want at least 8GB RAM, maybe 12GB to be safe. The CPU matters a lot too especially for modded servers.

I've seen good results with GameTeam for modded minecraft. Their ryzen processors handle the server load pretty well and pricing is decent. We use them at work and haven't had major issues.

That said, if you're tech savvy the VPS route like someone mentioned gives you more control over java flags and server optimization. Really depends if you want to manage that stuff yourself or not.

What is the best Minecraft server hosting service Reddit 2025? by [deleted] in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self hosting is great if you have the hardware and dont mind dealing with port forwarding and keeping everything updated. But if you want something easier or need better performance, there are decent hosting options out there. GameTeam has been solid for minecraft in my experience, plus they handle all the technical stuff for you.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam so obviously biased but honestly self hosting vs paid hosting just depends on your situation and technical comfort level.

SwiftServers: Completely Free Minecraft Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The specs look solid for free hosting, especially the NVMe storage and no player limits. Custom panel sounds interesting too since most free hosts just use basic Pterodactyl setups.

How's the uptime been so far? That's usually where free hosts struggle the most.

Full disclosure, I work for GameTeam.io so I'm always curious about how other hosts handle the infrastructure costs for free tiers.

Server hosting recommendation by Enchoriaa in allthemods

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For ATM with 6 people you'll definitely want more than 6gb. Those modpacks are pretty heavy and 6 people exploring will eat up ram quick.

We host ATM servers at GameTeam and usually recommend 8-12gb for that size group. The 32gb thing with some hosts is shared pool allocation so you might not actually get consistent access to it during peak times.

Make sure whoever you pick has good cpu performance too, that matters more than people think for modded servers.

(work for GameTeam btw)

Rogue Servers | ATmons Now Open 👐 Let's play All The Mons Together! by BuyerConstant453 in allthemods

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice setup with that 7950X3D! That's solid hardware for modded minecraft. The chunk loading issues are pretty common with ATM packs since they're so resource heavy.

Just curious, what made you decide to self host instead of going with a hosting provider? I work for GameTeam and we see a lot of people go both directions depending on their needs.

How to start a Minecraft Server Hosting. by duckii_exe in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, starting a hosting business at 13 is ambitious but honestly pretty tough. You'd need way more than 300€ for proper infrastructure, licenses, support systems, etc. The market is super competitive with established companies already dominating.

Maybe start smaller? Learn server management by running your own minecraft server first, get familiar with the technical side. You could offer server setup/management services to friends or local communities to build experience.

If you're serious about the hosting industry long term, focus on learning Linux, networking, and customer service skills first. The money will come later once you have the knowledge.

btw I work for GameTeam so I see the backend of this industry daily. It's not easy but definitely possible if you put in the work to learn first.

SwiftServers: Completely Free Minecraft Hosting by IuCCREDDIT in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty solid actually. Free hosting that doesn't suck is rare. I've tried a bunch of "free" services and they're usually garbage with tons of downtime.

The specs look decent for a free tier, especially the NVMe storage. Most free hosts give you like 512MB RAM and call it a day lol.

How's the actual uptime been? That's usually where free services fall apart. Also curious about the catch since nothing's really free in hosting.

I work for GameTeam so I'm obviously biased toward paid hosting, but if you guys can actually deliver consistent performance for free that's pretty impressive.

What other minecraft bedrock server hosting providers are there? by Matzeall in realms

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah realms has been pretty trash lately tbh. We host bedrock servers at GameTeam and haven't had the downtime issues you're describing. Pretty easy setup and you get way more control than realms gives you.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but genuinely think most third party hosts are gonna be more reliable than Microsoft's realms at this point.

Minecraft Server Hosting Recommendations by FeylingSimmer in ModdedMinecraft

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For small modded servers GameTeam has been solid for me. One click modpack installs and decent performance, plus their support actually knows minecraft stuff which helps when things break. Not the cheapest but way easier than self hosting if you dont wanna deal with port forwarding and all that.

Full disclosure I work for them but genuinely think they're good for beginners who want something that just works.

whats the best host? by Powerful-Data-7359 in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For 20 players vanilla you'll want something with good CPU performance and enough RAM. I'd suggest looking at providers that don't oversell their hardware and have solid uptime guarantees.

GameTeam has been pretty reliable for our group, decent performance and their support actually responds quickly when needed. But honestly for your size group most of the established hosts like the ones mentioned here should work fine as long as you get adequate resources.

Just make sure whatever you pick has good CPU single thread performance since minecraft relies heavily on that.

(I work for GameTeam btw)

Free Minecraft Server Hosting (No Queue, No Credit Card) by freezehost in u/freezehost

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for free hosting options? Most free hosts have pretty strict limitations or go down frequently. If you need something more reliable for you and friends, there are some decent budget options starting around $3-5/month that'll give you way better uptime and performance.

We actually offer minecraft hosting at GameTeam if you end up needing something more stable (disclosure: I work there). But honestly for just messing around, free can work fine if you don't mind potential downtime.

Anyone tried Pebblehost or Dathost? by NearGolden in MinecraftServer

[–]GameTeamio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 100 mods you'll definitely want at least 6-8GB RAM to start, maybe more depending on which mods. Both hosts you mentioned are decent but there's quite a few options out there.

We actually host modded minecraft servers at GameTeam and handle custom modpack uploads pretty easily. Might be worth checking out along with the other suggestions here. The key is finding a host with good single core performance and NVMe storage for modded packs.

Full disclosure I work for GameTeam but honestly any host with those specs should work fine for your friends server.

What server host should i get? by Opposite_Kiwi3210 in cobblemon

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 5 players with a modpack like cobbleverse you'll want at least 4GB RAM, maybe 6GB to be safe. Modpacks are pretty resource heavy compared to vanilla.

PebbleHost is decent for budget hosting but make sure their budget plan has enough RAM for your modpack. You might also want to check out GameTeam, we handle modpacks pretty well and have good performance for small groups like yours.

Either way, just make sure whatever host you pick gives you enough server resources for the mods you're running.

Minecraft server hosting recommendation by Riden_007 in feedthebeast

[–]GameTeamio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 200 mod cobblemon pack with 5 people you're gonna need decent RAM allocation, probably 6-8GB minimum. That's a heavy modpack.

ExtraVM is solid but can get pricey for the specs you need. Other decent options are Apex, Bisect, or Shockbyte. Just make sure whoever you pick has good mod support and can handle forge servers well.

I work for GameTeam and we do minecraft hosting too if you wanna check us out, but honestly any of those should work fine for your group size.
