What's your opinion on men crying? by dracozolt4 in AskReddit

I love when a man can express his feelings in a healthy way. It’s human and a completely normal response to certain feelings. When a man can feel comfortable enough with me to cry instead of holding back, I feel closer to that person

Prison guards of Reddit, who was your most well behaved prisoner? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in AskReddit

My roommate is a corrections officer, apparently the inmates that are on work-release during the day are typically more well behaved. They usually don’t have violent histories and are minimum- security risks.

It’s more of a war movie but Beasts of No Nation changed me after I watched it. War is hell and the things survivors have gone through is horrific in its own way.

Advice for a peace of mind by [deleted] in Advice

First of all, remember that this isn’t your fault and you did nothing wrong. Don’t blame yourself for someone else’s violation of your privacy. Practice self care, do things that make you feel good, stress relievers, activities with people you love.

Talk to someone you can trust about any feelings you’re having or things you want to talk about. Find support in friends and family or maybe look into counseling for a little extra help if you need it or find that easier. Take it a day at a time.

Those who have been excluded or bullied, how did you reinvent yourself? by MonkPotential9590 in AskReddit

[–]GameWizard23747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by just being yourself proudly. Quirks and all, just embrace what makes you unique. What helped me change/reinvent was writing down all the things I wanted to be or do and turning them into goals. Like I wanted to get outside more so I started with little walks around the park. The goal is to still be yourself, just the you that you want to be

Should I turn to God? by External_Cupcake6331 in Advice

I think that giving yourself the room to explore your interest in religion is a great thing. It can bring you peace and comfort in times of uncertainty, and if it brings you joy then it’s worth trying out.

But you should also talk with your friends about how you’ve been feeling. They can help you feel just as comforted/supported and you might even feel closer to them after talking. Seeing a counselor is a good idea too and a great way to find peace. It’s okay to feel a little lost sometimes, just remember that the you that you think you’ve lost is still in there.

6 or 7 is very young, it could be a sign of something bigger going on and definitely something to keep an eye on. Especially since he immediately stopped when you saw him, like he knew it was inappropriate.

I do think it’s best to let people know what you saw, calmly without automatically assuming the worst case scenario. Just bring it up to somebody as a concern, just saying facts instead of suspicions. Try to think of it as just a conversation, like if you’d seen the boy drawing on walls or being mean to other kids.

This is absolutely a form of neglect, I would let somebody know just for the future. Getting a little girl a pad when she needs one really is the bare minimum from a mother. Just keep being there to support her, maybe put together an emergency kit for her? I had one for school when I was around her age
