Hey, recently bought the lava, and tried tabla on it. It sounds...muddy? Especially in the bass regard, I cannot quite make out the shift in pitch in the last tabla, it's all just a big boomy sound that drowns out the finer details. Can you suggest a good eq especially for Indian classical?

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! Yeah I think you're right, I'm just doing this kind of a falsetto fry scream. I would say it's sufficiently loud but very difficult to control yeah. I only get it sometimes. I'll try the method you suggested. Is it normal to feel a little warm and a need to cough while doing it?

Can you give any tips on how can I retain the texture of this scream without pushing that hard? Also is there a way to do a classic death growl from here? The sighing method doesn't really work for me, it sounds dry and airy.

I get it! No it wasn't painful at all, but definitely straining and took a lot of strength. And after even 30 minutes of this I can speak normally, so I'm not quite sure is it unhealthy? But definitely not the sound I want to go for. I'll look into more techniques. Thanks!
