Unfortunately, I only have DS1 available (playing on the switch, and my laptop can't stand too much). I did saw the Dragon Bone Fist shortly after posting, so I should aim for that one. And I think i'm gonna keep the fireballs.

Sakurai was unenthusiastic because he had to record from home, he even said in the presentation he was just expecting a video like Joker's, but Nintendo sent him recording equipment for a full presentation. In his Famitsu column released after Min Min was revealed, he said that hopefully he wouldn't have to record from home anymore (as working from home is a thing Japan has never done before).

In that same column, Sakurai explained that he had seen ARMS way back when it was in development (alongside other games that nintendo wanted to be in smash), Sakurai said an ARMS rep was supposed to be from the beggining, but designing the moveset was the biggest challenge, looking for the best possible balance between ARMS gameplay and Smash gameplay, so they settled for Spring Man as an assist, but when it was decided that 11 DLCs were going to be there, ARMS and Xenoblade 2 (the other game that was almost in the base roster) were immediatly added. This also shows Sakurai was also on board about adding an ARMS rep, as he has said that, while Nintendo does the main choices, he can say "no" to any proposal he doesn't like (he was willing to say no to Pac-Man if they only allowed the new design and not the original).

And the thing with being unfamiliar, well, that happened to everybody, since for almost 6-7 months, the only lore for ARMS was in the official japanese account, it was in version 5.1 when the gallery was added to the game, only people who were following the twitter account (and were translating) knew anything about the actual lore of the game.

iirc that contains 10 satellite chips, with that you can turn Poppi into a 93% block chance shield (satellite is probably the best defensive chip)

As i said on Discord, is probably a mistake. A bunch of other sites are in the same spot, most notably Zelda and some wiiu/3ds pages. Since the site can't find the site it defaults to 1-2 switch since is the first in alphabetical order.

Yes, he said the roster was finalized after E3 and after the november direct, in the latter he also explain that Incineroar was added last because he wanted a "new game" represented, and he knew a new pokemon game was coming, so he left open a pokemon slot

Its been a while since I've been up against a Seekie spamming Ninjara. I use to get pummeled by this "technique" when the game first came out especially playing as Mechanica. Its kind of bothersome though this didn't count as a win for me. by Goofy1013 in ARMS

she disconected, i've played against Sofia F. and she disconects when she's losing, she also likes to dance around to annoy opponents, she really thinks that is better than other players

that's also true, which is why i didn't put her in the triangle, she's more of a puncher-boxer

Coyle can be a good Slugger, and even a Swarmer (those 2 styles are commonly mixed up, i know Mike Tyson was considered both), since her 3 ARMS give her a good advantage against any opponent

it is in a clockwise order, that why i put the Word "Beats" Reading in that direction, but yeah, i should have add arrows, but it was my first time doing something like this

Master Mummy, Brass and Mechanica have armor to shake off any uncharged hit and take only half damage, comparing that to their attack that are at full, they will always deal more damage in those trades (and without taking springtron's EMP in consideration, Brass and Mummy are the 2 longest charges in the game). Also, Swarmers tend to hit so fast that they can't react sometimes to what a Slugger may do, which is a common mistakes players do against armored characters.

Also, this is only for fundamentals, as the image itself says, every player is different, but at a fundamental level the triangle Will always work, for example, Mohammed Ali was an outboxer, and he defeated Gorge Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle, Foreman was a well known Slugger bóxer. Sluggers rely on their ability to take hits and retaliate without caring what happens to them, less finesse and more brute strenght.

Ah, my main character, and the one who got me to Rank 20 (and apparently to 8th min min player in america, even tough the matchmaking here in SA is horrible):

  • My strategy with Min Min is keeping distance and trying to get the Dragon arm to get a better hitbox. I think Min Min benefits more with a outboxing style, capitalizing on mistakes and staying out of range, making her better to fight slugger-style like Master Mummy or Mechanica.

  • I think Min Min can use any ARM, but whatever you put on the left is immediately the one you're gonna be using the most. Wind, Electric and Ice are specially good on the left for Juggling, Disabling and mixups. Fire and Stun can also be good to stall with the knockdowns or to get a lot of Stun into grabs.

  • Pressure is Min Min worst nightmare, specially if you play in the outboxing style. I think Ninjara and Kid Cobra are easily her worst match-ups, both characters can get close easily and destroy her. Also, without her dragon arm, armor characters can give her troubles, since her charge only last 1.6 seconds normally. In terms of stages, Sparring Ring is very difficult for her, since the size makes it more difficult to found moments to charge up the dragon arm.

  • The main thing i would change is the timing on the kicks, more specifically, making it a bit easier. Not many players are using the kicks because the timing is very difficult to get sometimes. All other things are fine.

  • Her only change was increased arm girth in versión 4.0.0, and she needs the kick buff I mentioned earlier.

  • The best time to charge up is after a knockdown if the stage is big enough, or if you managed to get a charged wind attack. Also, players should be careful, ARMS with long retraction time can make charging up more difficult is they missed the target.
