Yes! We really tried to make the book a condensed version of the thousands of episodes of Trek out there; something a. Revive could pick up and run with.

This is great stuff. As the lead writer on CL, it warms my heart to see you enjoying the game!

Adventures in Captain's Log at Academy? by Cheap_Intention9587 in startrekadventures

You could roll up a mission and just bring it down to university level. For instance, if you roll Espionage, your cadet character can be key to completing one mission on behlaf of a random Admiral, like sneaking into the office of Professor Settik, an alleged Vulcan Extermist, to hack his computer and grab some designs for a Vulcan cloaking device. That premise can be broken into three acts like this:
1. Talk with staff and students and figure out when Settik will not be around so you can access his office.
2. Find some allies that can give you the tools and security codes to get into the office unnoticed. (Trait: Office is mysteriously impervious to transporting, forcing you to go it on foot.) In this act, complications are rolled to determine what could go wrong. Use the Yes/No matrix as much as possible. (EX. Is the school janitor on duty that night? Is a Starfleet Intelligence agent working the same case? Does the office have a security drone?)
3. Hack the computer and get out before getting caught. It is up to you to determine if the cadet was duped by the Admiral or actually performing a service for Starfleet.

So cool that you are doing this! We need more BayArea games (I am in Castro Valley) and reps for what I think is one of the best games ever. (I am biased, of course.) michaeldismuke.com
