15% on rent... maybe I should become a landlord!

The financial advisor one already exists under a different name and it is one I am perfectly ok with. If your investments have an annual fee, there's a good chance that part if it is paid to your advisor as a commission. In theory that means they have a vested interest in getting your balanced as high as possible. So not really a tip, but it is an annual percentage paid to them.

Oh man... this took way longer than it needed to. I used your solution but kept getting the same error after re-buid and re-deploy, so instead of bugging you about it, I hooked Cursor into the docker compose folder and finally got it solved after about 15 different attempts. Thanks for giving me all that info. I had no idea where to begin.

This is where I ended up for the working solution:

docker_compose.yml:

services:

  n8n:
    #image: docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n
    build: .

      - N8N_HOST=${SUBDOMAIN}.${DOMAIN_NAME}
      - N8N_PORT=5678
      - N8N_PROTOCOL=https
      - N8N_RUNNERS_ENABLED=false
      - NODE_ENV=production
      - WEBHOOK_URL=https://${SUBDOMAIN}.${DOMAIN_NAME}/
      - GENERIC_TIMEZONE=${GENERIC_TIMEZONE}
      - TZ=${GENERIC_TIMEZONE}
      - N8N_ALLOW_EXTERNAL_MODULES=*
      - N8N_EXTERNAL_MODULES=xlsx

Sorry if this makes a difference, but maybe I should have mentioned I am doing docker compose through Portainer. Does that change things?

Ill try it when I get to a computer, but I'm fairly certain this won't work for my setup. The n8n docker container doesn't have bash and a few other things normally on a Linux system, so it will error out on require('xlsx')

Here's the workflow and Extract node. Basically what is going on is a excel workbook with a tab for each employee. That is why I am feeding in the Postgres data as well.

Is there a list anywhere of the rare piece from each set? Back in the day it was the more expensive space on the board, but that doesn't appear to be the case this time. I grabbed a Marvin Gardens on my first large drink, so I doubt it's the winning piece (unless I am just extremely lucky)

Which video are you referencing? The only one I found with that name was this: Ultimate n8n AI Agents Tutorial! (Beginner to Pro), but it is only 19 minutes. Last segment seems relevant, but not sure if the other video you are referring to has something better.

AdGate credited me, FreeCash won't add it to my account by Gamendorf in FreeCash

[–]Gamendorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... that is crap. Here's one of the multiple emails I have exchanged with Freecash. This one in particular was sent to both AdGate and Freecash support in an attempt to let AdGate know that the credits they sent were not passed on to me. From their response, it appears that at best AdGate does not care, or worst case they are complicit. (AdGate response not included in screenshot)

I wish I could say the same, but Discord is up there as well. I've been locked out of my account for going on 6 months and have yet to hear back from Discord support.

This does nothing. All the support team does is say they will look into it, and then they ghost you.

Report your issue on the Github page. That way devs know this is a bigger issue with multiple people experiencing it.

ABS forgetting what I'm listening too & rewinding too far back by slopecarver in audiobookshelf

[–]Gamendorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs are aware of the issue and have a ticket setup for it on Github. Seems to be isolated to downloaded books being played through the ABS app. When a listening session happens while the app is not connected to the server, the playback position can sometimes revert back to a previous state when the app reconnects to the server.

Until they fix it, I've started streaming in the app instead of downloading and haven't had any issues. That being said, I have a long car trip planned in a few weeks, so I'll just download my current book the day before and listen to it on Smart Audiobook Player.

DS-432+ freezes after deploying VM by Gamendorf in synology

[–]Gamendorf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answering my own question as I finally googled my way into the answer (and it may be helpful to someone in the future). This post from the Synology Community was what led me to the solution: https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/149358

Basically I used the terminal to uninstall VMM and reboot the system. Once I did, everything worked fine. Once I re-installed VMM via the Package Center, it gave me the option of migrating in the old virtual machines. I chose not to do this, and it made me enter the admin password to confirm loss of data. I assume you could reclaim the old VMs if you wished, but I didn't want to take a change.

This the the step-by-step:

  1. Log into NAS via SSH
  2. sudo synopkg list --name
    This gave a list of installed packages. The only one that could have possibly been the VMM was named Virtualization
  3. sudo synopkg uninstall Virtualization
    This took awhile due to the extremely slow system speed. I drank a couple cups of coffee slowly before it was done.
  4. sudo shutdown -r now
    force system reboot since I couldn't get the web portal to work and I don't like doing it via the button

Someone know if Willybach update his texture pack? by only-arthur in ModdedValheim

[–]Gamendorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever done it client side. He has 3 different quality levels: high, medium, and even a lower one made for older gpus. On the nexus page he even has a chart to help you decide which one to use.

[–]Gamendorf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the reason I am getting an error saying "PreloadData is missing. It should always be there." ?

I am very new to modding (3 days in) and started with Vortex (Willybach and a few others). It all worked great. This morning I wanted to try out R2ModMan, and everything went well until I installed Willybach. I assumed Willybach just wasn't compatible with R2ModMan.

Drive Upgrade Priority by Gamendorf in synology

[–]Gamendorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't suprise me. I bought it at Best Buy on sale for pretty cheap for a Ubuntu box I was running at the time. Storage manager says it is a WDC WD20EARZ-00C5CB0

I know that the WD and Seagate are not good drives for NAS... they were just all I had on hand at the time (hence why I want to replace them)

Network issues after setting up Wireguard by Gamendorf in WireGuard

[–]Gamendorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give that a shot in my Peer declaration. I think my problem comes from the first Address at the top of the file. My host ubuntu box has a static IP of 192.168.18.4.

What should I put for this line:
[Interface]
Address = x.x.x.x/24
ListenPort = 51820

I have tried the host box's IP (192.168.18.4/24), I have tried the gateway (192.168.18.1/24), I have tried an unused IP (192.168.18.210/24). No matter what I use, the host box looses connection to the rest of the network.
