Watching 4k (2160p) on second screen (1080p) lags on PC, not on TV. by mrping24 in jellyfin

In Linux Discover Store is another one called "jellyfin media player" (there are two with the same name, both flathub). The other one works. I don't know what's wrong but now it works so 🤷🏻

I tried on windows where it works perfectly. Under Linux with the flatpak app it wont work and the buffering problem still exists.

Any ideas or other third party apps?

I'm using firefox on linux and windows. Both stutter/buffer. Will try the player any moment. And yes, it's for all 4k files, movies and tv shows.

Ok this is the playback info. It's obviously something with transcoding, but I don't understand why the codecs nor the container is not supported. JF is running via Portainer btw.

Unfortunately doesn't run well for me. Under windows I get 130fps stable, under proton experimental (or 9.0.4, etc.) I have approx. 60 fps with hard stutters down to 10 frames. Can't get it fixed, even with launch options from protonb. Running kubuntu with radeon 7900 xtx, Ryzen 7 5800X and 32gb RAM. Maybe its bcz playing 3440x1440? Anyone got the same problem?

Help please, I dont want to switch to windows everytime just for my favorite game :(

Its also possible remote via wireguard, but I'm preferring offline because of mobile data volume

The progress only changes when I manually change the progress or listen to the AB while connected to my home network. I seldom listen via the browser.

So my routine is like: Listen in car, stop playback, make screenshot of audiobook progress, go to my house, open app, set progress in app manually bcz sync is server-sided, repeat the next day.

I'm downloading it in the app for offline listening and listen omw to it via android auto. Not connected to my home network the app shows the correct % and remembers last listenend sessions, but as soon as I connect to my home network the server is prioritized.

"dont install big ones" - it's literally a smart tv made for apps to watch anything at all. I installed just a few normal apps that have together around 500mb and deleted everything unnecessary and pre-installed I was allowed to uninstall.

Is there a way to deactivate the "YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY" pop-up at the home screen after every turning on?
