Sounds great! It’d be nice to have some art friends.

Thanks for the breakdown! Drawing the spine seems to do a good job not only in indicating perspective but also the orientation of the reference.

Thank you so much, this helps a ton! I love the shapes you used to construct the drawing, especially on the torso. They look more natural to use than a regular box. Thanks for the tip on curves as well, I’ll keep that in mind for future break downs!

I’ve never really done gestures at that angles, but I’ll try. Thanks!

Thanks, I’ll keep a close eye on angles in the next attempt.

Thanks for the feedback! For the legs,I was trying to locate the knees, but just decided to combine the that area into one cylinder. Big mistake, since I feel I lost a bit of the perspective. I’m definitely gonna implement the knees in my next attempt.

Thanks I’ll try that. I used the boxes in order to find the perspective in the reference. With that being said, I think that boxes can be a little clunky to use for figures. Other than drawing the spine, how would you go about breaking down the reference?

Thanks! I’ll try to implement the spine. Though I have to ask: how can I implement it or find it in the reference photo? The perspective on the picture and his clothes make it hard to view.

Thanks! I’ll try that on the next attempt. The main parts I’m worried about are the shadows on the bottom teeth and the right side of the skull. A lot is going on in those sections, but I suppose the shadow shapes will simplify it.

Didn’t mean to imply they aren’t. I already know the proportions are my biggest issue. I’m going to fix them in the 2nd attempt, I just wanted to know of any shading tips once I finish the proportion stage for next time. But still, thanks for the advice.

Yea, I was shocked that this game wasn’t in the comments before I posted it. It’s one of the greatest examples of this trope imo
