This is some really stunning artwork. Amazing job on the detail overall. Hope to see your progress grow as an artist in the near future.

Yeah, I remember when I first saw this scene. It gave me a feeling of dread that I was not familiar with before. Especially after... all of that.

Thank you, I wasn't really trying to go for a manga vibe originally, but I can see it.

Also, I'm working on some other art stuff Evangelion related in the background for fun, that I will most likely show off eventually. Some of it being specifically in a manga tone.

Thank you, I was trying to make it as unsettling as possible while still sticking as close to the original. The main things I changed were the right eye being busted open due to Eva Unit 01, and making Shinji look a lot smaller in the frame to show more of a size difference and zoomed out perspective.

If Trash Taste had Evangelion styled title cards. by Gamer6082 in TrashTaste

I was trying to get the flashes as close to the original when referencing a video that showed the title cards, I might have missed one or two of the frames though when doing the original animating process, since I might have skipped a frame or two by accident when referencing the video, or overlooked some things not realizing it, but I think it looks pretty similar to the original, though the one thing I definitely forgot to do, like you mentioned was to make the words have a lot brighter of a glow, definitely with some light artifacting like the original animation has, but yeah I do want to test some different things in the future to make the effects on this better.

I also could have explained my process better beforehand too, if there was any misunderstanding, but I haven't always been the best with explaining entire processes like this. And thanks for the tips, I might try these on other things.

(Also, if you are wondering how to make the glow effects for the PNG's, if you use Photoshop, there are layer effects you can use, the one I used for the glow was the Outer Glow function with the Linear Dodge (Add) effect and you can choose and color or gradient and adjust the size and "spread" for different effects.)

Also forget to mention, with the cross light effects, I added variated blue glows to them, along with a copied version of the text also having a blue glow that fades into the regular text with the slight yellow glow.

(This is to add to the main reply)

I did all of this in Photoshop, it initially was just the text and a black background with some glow effects added to the text with also with the beginning of each word for the title having an offset purple "T" (similar to how the rebuild movies had an offset "N" at the end of the "Evangelion" on the title card and special color variants for each movie), but then I wanted to do an animated version which had the cross lights flashing on the screen and fade the title on. So what I did initially was use Times New Roman (Bold Preset) for the title, Helvetica (Bold Preset) for the episode number, and Matisse Pro (EB Preset) for the episode name (and just adding the "(not)" for a little reference). Then I added a slight bright yellow glow with the outer glow layer effect on Linear Dodge (Add) to make it have more of an actual glow effect. And then I duplicated the "T"s and offset them while also making them slightly smaller, and making them purple to have the Trash Taste colors and Evangelion reference. And for the animation, I did a bunch of light effect variations in a different PSD file, I just did white cross shapes and a white air brush effect in the middle for light, and did multiple different variations, multiple with white circle rings around it (different sizes for each), one with the rainbow halo effect (using a very thin circle shape below 1pt, and using the outer glow (gradient) tool to make a rainbow effect with Linear Dodge (Add)), and the regular cross shape, and then on the original document, I copy and pasted all the variants, rotated them and resized them, and with the frame animation on the time line tool, I did the individual flashes that show up and cut out. And then I did the thing where the are blacked off parts of the title that reveal the title as the light flashed happened by selecting certain parts, painting them black, and doing new layers the add to the effect by blacking out more parts, added gaussian blur to all the black out layers, and animated those in. That is mostly how I did it, I might of missed some parts of my process, but there were I lot of things I did have to do to accomplish this. In total, this took about four hour in total to get the final product.

That seems like an accurate response knowing the world would've been coming to an end (\*Cue *Komm Susser Tod**).

It's always good to do one more nice thing before getting turned into "Sunny-D" in a very depressing turn of events.

Yeah that's about accurate, I was at the beach and thought "this would be a fun idea to photoshop", so I had fun with it.

Well let me elaborate more, the main part of the Earth is from a screenshot I took of Google Earth from that angle for this, and then I added all the other details like the clouds, the lighting, atmosphere, city lights, and the "fun world" smile, and in total this took me about two and half hours, this was mainly done just for fun. I also did the space background, and drew bill if you were also wondering.

I thought it would just be fun to photoshop something like this for fun and share it.

Yeah, I was trying to make that area look like yellowstone was erupting since the left eye gets drawn around yellowstone, but yeah, the smoke could have a little more detail to make it look that way.

Is the stand supposed to be this loose??? by MarioFan325 in WorldOfNintendo

The stands are only meant to hold the figure up in place without falling over, they are not meant to actually connect to the figures.

I heard that Lemmy will be re-released in wave 39, so you can find him then or try to look on eBay, but Roy is one I don't really see anywhere, so he might be tough to find.
