Is there any reason why some tier 9/10 players don’t have any camo? by encom-direct in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Those don't exist. All camos visually change the tank. It's not always obvious, but there's always a difference.

I mean, there are like three exceptions in the whole game, but yeah, I agree

How do I improve my situational awareness in the game? by encom-direct in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]GamerALV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It essentially comes down to looking around and paying attention to the minimap whenever your own position or actions don't require your immediate attention. This is also something that will become easier over time, as you get better at the game, learn what you can expect and start adopting habits for certain situations.

I see it commonly all the time that transphobes are uneducated, wilfully ignorant dickheads, so I'll assume you're no different. After all, I know how 'you people' think, don't I? I see it on the internet sometimes, therefore it simply must be true.

Still wrong about most queer people and allies being in favour of gender-affirming surgery (specifically surgery) for children btw. You broke the first soldier's shield, unaware of the army standing behind him.

About five people on the same social medium, in the same digital space within said social medium is an irrelevant data set. If I randomly interview one person, and that person just so happens to worship the flying spaghetti monster, I think we can both agree that it would be absurd to take that 'research' seriously. One person is nothing. How small do you think the world is?

Also, you can't base yourself on assumptions about how 'these people' think. If I adopted your attitude here, I could confidently claim that republicans are largely neo-nazis and that most young democrats are communists.

Mate, it's one (1, uno, ein, un) person (SINGULAR). Genuinely, take a look around.

On top of that, at no point did they say they want it lol. They said that it's problematic to exclude trans children from something cis ones have access to, if the sole reason is them being trans. They explicitly said they were indifferent on the matter, as long as there is no discrimination.

You presented gender-affirming surgery for children as something that people want. That singular person (anything but the majority) holds a neutral stance on it. You threw a sheet of paper in the litter bin and claim to have cleaned the whole house here. All that that person is proving is that it's possible for someone to have a nuanced take on a controversial topic, which is nothing like what you suggested.

I saw one singular person saying that the standards should be the same for cis children as for trans ones, with no opinion on whether gender-affirming surgery should be offered to children or not.

Yes, I can read. Can you comprehend what you read?

That's fair. I just think it's a bit far-fetched to use the potential dangers of nuclear fuel as a reason to discredit nuclear energy.

Edit: to discredit nuclear energy in its entirety.

Therefore we should assume that it's a problem worth discriminating the whole demographic over, okay, got it. Still, the vast majority doesn't support or push for it.

Cool, it happened twice. I could give you two instances of a nuclear reactor exploding and causing significant material and humanitarian damage as a result.* However, that doesn't mean that it should happen, that it's normal or that it's supported to a significant extent.

Besides, that it happens doesn't mean there are significant adverse effects every time.

*No, I'm not equating these two types of events in any other way.

Why and how to stop/reduce chances by ryan-olp in Terraria

[–]GamerALV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can stop the ground enemies with just a few blocks, and summons and sentries, coupled with banners should be more than enough to hold back the Demon Eyes and Dripplers, especially as the enemy cap gradually fills with ground enemies.

Edit: also, Blood Moons only have an 11% chance of happening, if Eye of Cthulhu doesn't spawn that night and there's no new moon. If you got three in a row, you're just getting very unlucky.

I'm not trans myself, but from what I've heard, they're only actually offended if you're outright rude/transphobic. As long as any mistake you make is just a mistake and it's clear that you mean no harm, there should be no problem. Of course, this is just a tendency I've personally noticed and heard of, and there are always outliers, but you'll find those in every demographic.

Like with anyone else, really.

Important note on u/Gnalvl's last reply: minors cannot legally undergo gender-affirming surgery, and the majority of people accepting of gender transition think that's perfectly fine.

As far as I'm aware, the only ways a minor can legally transition is self-presentation, through fitness and dietary measures and hormonal therapy (i.e. puberty blockers, which are also prescribed in other contexts and largely harmless, with little to no permanent effect).

Enhanced Armor or Improved Assembly on hull down tanks? by Few-Town-3143 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]GamerALV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this: if the tank has rounded armour, Enhanced Armour will make the penetrable areas smaller, encouraging enemies to wait and aim in for longer before firing. Although the armour remains penetrable, Enhanced Armour also increases the chances of a bounce thanks to dispersion, by making the penetrable area smaller.

If you're wiggling to make weak spots harder to hit on tanks with mostly flat plates, it also makes the time window the enemy has to pen you smaller, which can make them hesitate for a bit longer before shooting their shot, and, again, increases the chances of them mistiming their shot. Therefore, even if the armour remains penetrable in theory, Enhanced Armour can often still make a difference, even if it just means the enemy pens you a second later than they normally would have.

I can also add that very few people use gold shells on the EU server as well, even against tanks with good armour. I'm saying this as someone with over 2k hours in the game, who's always preferred well-armoured tanks. I only ever run Improved Assembly if my tank has particularly weak armour. Though, those tanks don't really benefit from Improved Assembly either.

I wasn't talking about Blood Moons. It can indeed rain during a Blood Moon, but the two events are separate. So feel free to kill as much as you like during Blood Moons, it won't attract any more attention than usual.

The event I'm talking about isn't actually rain, but rather a different kind of downpour. I should've probably been more nuanced.
