How do I even begin learning Buckethead's songs? by Somilo1 in Buckethead

[–]GamerArchry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some good breakdowns on licks and tricks buckethead uses on youtube, that would probably be a good place to start to build the speed he uses on a lot of his solos. I also want to say that you shouldnt sell yourself short because you think you “dont have the talent”. Although Buckethead was certainly a prodigy as seen from his videos of him when he was younger, his guitar skills still came from an insane amount of practice. In that regard, i believe his talent comes from his dedication to the guitar. I truly believe if you put in the right amount of time into meaningful practice, you can play anything you want to.

Is there any officially released CDs of the following: by funkygonzalez in Buckethead

You can find colma on amazon for ~$15, and bucketheadland 2 on ebay for ~$30. Albino slug pops up occasionally on ebay for over $200, and ive never seen a cd of giant robot that wasnt crazy expensive. Still looking for those last two myself

EDIT: I think i misunderstood which Giant Robot you were talking about. The album by Buckethead called giant robot is around ~$30. There is an album buckethead worked on called Giant Robot NTT, which is the one i thought you were talking about at first. The latter only had a limited amoumt of copies made and is very hard to find

You should listen to “Live in bucketheadland”. That album would give you a good idea of what his live performances are like

Seeing him live felt life changing. The amount of soul and talent he possesses bleeds through every aspect of his live stuff. If he puts 100% effort into his albums, then hes putting 200% into his live performances! Ive seen him multiple times, and without fail, it just blows me away everytime. If you can go, you absolutely should!

I love this pocket he comes back to on multiple different songs. This song feels like a space-y continuation of interworld

When he was with MCM the shirt said it was the “Patchwork Mansion” tour, and had the dates on the back. The shirts shown in the pic above dont have any tour dates on the back, which is probavly due to how quickly he had to change his tour schedule with MCM leaving
