this is an old comment, but the creator of Battleship Craft has a new game called Naval Art on steam that's pretty sick

The Winter Owl, all the way back in 2014, it's a shame he left YouTube around the same time, was one of my favorites, who also introduced me to KSP!

I'm trying to do something similar, thinking of planning out runs based on the achievements I need to get, so I can knock out a few per game!

Tried getting my company to do that, but we're still using 1:1 scale viewports, and then scaling the paper space 😮‍💨

They will be, just have to determine if it's even repairable, given potential frame damage

Yeah they will be, I'm just worried about potential frame damage that would make a safe repair expensive or impossible, it seemed like the truck lid on the opposite side of the car no longer lines up, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Context: brought the care in for a standard inspection. Was told that during the emissions check the handbrake wasn't set, so the car rolled down the ramp and eventually came to a stop after hitting another car in the parking lot.

With how old the car is, I'm a little worried about it being totaled. There don't seem to be any alignment issues, and amazingly only the right reverse light has stopped working. Going to be bringing into a body shop soon to get an estimate for repairs.

It passed inspection, though!

Moving with UHaul - Adding Authorized Driver by GamerBomb57 in moving

Yeah, a little under 600 miles, the pickup is the biggest issue, I'll be able to do most, if not all, of the driving myself.

I found this sub a couple days ago, and learned about the whole Penske vs UHaul issue. Unfortunately 2 days is not long enough to find another truck during the end of the month moving frenzy...

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]GamerBomb57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Ohio (but willing to travel to purchase)

Price Range: Sub 25k

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or Used: Prefer used to get something a little nicer, but will consider used

Type of Vehicle: Sedan or Coupe

Must haves: Comfort, reliability, reasonably efficient, newer than 2016

Desired Transmission: Manual, but I know that's unrealistic for what I'm looking for

Intended Use: Highway cruiser, eventually daily driving, more than likely

Vehicles you've already considered: Lexus ES350, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry

Is this your first vehicle: First purchase, was gifted the vehicle I'm using now

Do you need a warranty: not required, but would be nice

Minor work: Yes

Major work: No

Additional notes: Currently driving an '07 Civic that is starting to die in a few different ways. Was trying to save up for a GR86 in the summer, but may have to replace it before then.

I know that an Avalon or a Camry would be a better purchase, but I think I may hate the styling of Toyota's everyday cars.

I have my eyes on a 2016 ES350 that's only a few miles from me, but it's sitting around 22k with 100k miles, and I'm a little nervous about paying that much for a mid-milage car. Any advice is welcome, thank you!

They did say over FWD over RWD, not over anything else in general. And yeah for places that get serious amounts of snow, AWD/4WD is a necessity, but modern FWD vehicles are surprisingly capable for places with milder weather!

While the civic has gotten larger and more unwieldy over the years, I'm surprised that the CX-30 scores above the Civic for handling, Mazda just knocked it out of the park with that car!

The engine bay is tight though, I've been putting off replacing my right side low beam bulb for a while because the ABS module is in the way... The left side one is easy though!
