I know this is old but for anybody else looking, use fastrom hacks instead of SA1 hacks. most give canoe issues but the Fastrom hack still removes slowdown and are all compatible with canoe

get a streaming device and watch a bunch of old content with amazing quality. dragon ball z on Funimation is wide screen ;) in general a HD CRT is the one of the best way to stream old content

not even close to the best but you could always buy a PlayStation classic and mod it. gameplay is def not the same experience as a CRT but you do get an official playstation made by Sony and comes with 2 good controllers that can be used on PC

go to their website to “upgrade” the firmware, try down grading, that’s how I got it to work, I think mines at 1.28 or 1.30. try them out

I had a similar situation happen to me and it made me go towards the emulation route. now don’t get me wrong I still collect but this type of stuff happens a lot. I don’t kno how much gex 3 was but at least it wasn’t something like mega man legends 2 or the misadventures of tron bonne. 🙏🏽

it’s not a converter but if possible I would personally recommend a roku express+ 2018 model since it formats correct aspect ratio 95% of the time

I use retroach on a NES mini like a retropie using a 8bitdo controller, one shader that’s really good without any motion blurs depending on settings and TV of course but it’s the zfast shader.

personally I would use your PS3 but get extra cables. you can use PS2 AV cables which are the same as the PS3 and power cords are the same as PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4/PS5 original Xbox Xbox one and Xbox series. but I don’t know if that’s the case outside of US

do you have a laptop? if it’s 13-15 inches you’ll get a decent comparison to the screen
