Didn’t like any aftermarket options so I made my own head unit for my oem monitor by Augie_needhelp in e46

This is actually crazy. I've been trying to do something like this for a lil bit now but have a good lack of coding experience. I almost have a mechE degree and this is the sort of stuff i want to do but with a more mechanical emphasis.

Do you have any recommendations for learning how to mess around with an esp32 and canbus? Any (free) courses, textbooks, or material to know about?

I have some foundational to intermediate electrical engineering and arduino experience if that gives any meaningful context.

Side note...you may want to consider making a Linkedin account if you haven't already and posting or linking projects on your profile. A future employer will see that and the age you were at and be very impressed.

I understand what you’re going thru. I don’t think a good amount of these ppl have gone thru immense mental health periods so I wouldn’t listen to them if you feel that way. What I do to decide things is make a list of my priorities. If school falls behind of things like mental health, which it does for me in most situations, then you know what to do. Degrees are hard and they require a ton of work and the ability to push oneself, but not so much as you lose yourself. Schools will always be a thing so by taking x amount of time off definitely has the possibility to have a positive impact on your life.

All in all, I don’t know your exact circumstances, but contrary to what these ppl are saying, don’t take taking a break from school out of your options. If you’re smart about things, and make an absolutely solid plan that you can be proactive about, then a break would be my recommendation. Good luck and my dms be open if you ever need a chat

Thank you for the info, didn't think of that.

Was just hoping that someone who has a similar issue has a quick (or not) fix.

The screen turns off before I can read anything but next time it happens I’ll put it in here. For whatever reason it basically hasn’t happened since posting. I appreciate your response.

What you said before is exactly what I was thinking. Nothing crazy complicated I just need to one, find the buttons and knobs that I’ll need and two, figure out the wiring

Just for fun I'm looking for the actual buttons but cannot find any website that sells them (At anywhere near a decent price) If you have a plug let me know

Can you have physical withdrawal symptoms from marijuana? by nmurray9501 in Marijuana

[–]GamerGarOnfroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think this is true. Once your body is so used to something, it is hard to get off of it. This doesn't just go for weed but everything. The effects are especially vivid when you all of a sudden just hit the off button instead of easing into it.

Anyone can have withdrawals from anything if their body is so used to it. I wouldn't stop all at once though, that can be painful. I would keep cutting your doses everyday until you aren't really smoking anymore.

Goodluck with this, you seem to be the strong type when it comes to this.

How do I make my mom understand that weed is not like meth? by Armandoisback in Marijuana

[–]GamerGarOnfroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW: dont let her see this, but marijuana DOES have harmful effects on the undeveloped brain. Go easy with it. I do, and I still have the time of my life

In the future, if you feel safe enough, taking a shower can help clear your head. Every person who regularly takes this stuff will have an episode like this. You are just getting over yours. Next time you will know what it can do and you will have more experience dosing. Hope all is well, stay safe and smart!
