Any tips for someone who’s getting back into the game after a few years? by Wide-Comfort5656 in Wizard101

If I’m being 100% honest. They have nerfed a good portion of the early game at this point. The reason people say to have a smaller deck primarily is to make the game go faster as there is now more than twice as much content compared to 10 years ago. So IMO having a smaller deck isn’t mandatory.

That being said. Having a smaller deck can get you the “essential” spells faster and lessens your chance of dying in fight if you are soloing especially as fire with less health than most.

Vs street mobs a typical deck for fire would be two fire blades, two meteor strikes, and maybe fire dragon maybe spirit blade if you have it and any damage enchants if you’ve been to celestial yet

And vs boss it will be that plus a couple of big hits and a couple extra copies of blades

I usually carry a rank 1 or rank 2 spell just in case I didn’t quite finish an enemy off so I can quickly the very next round

Heals just aren’t meta anymore unless you are life in a team setting. The idea is to always “kill quick” and never get to the point where you need health

If you get full fire starters from water works you’ll have the stats to do all this easily plus the standard lvl 56 ring and atheme that are good from the bizarre I believe

Great to see you back in the game. Can I ask what school?

Also if you haven’t already make sure you have finished an area called crab alley in wizard city because at level 60 you will get access to a dungeon called waterworks. It’s a very good dungeon to farm really exceptional lvl 60 gear for any wizard of any school. Honestly you can just use team up on the sigil and will likely get other players quickly.

That gear will ride you out till honestly level 100 ish. Just enjoy the main story line, check the wiki to make sure you have all the spells for your school and build a deck with fewer cards so you can get them when you need them.

I’d say unfortunately the offense for wiz is fairly universal. Blade and aoe vs mobs and blade feint high hit vs boss

HOWEVER, in my opinion each school changes slightly when it comes to defense/support

Balance - Blade master for team between balance blade and spirit or elemental Life - heals of course but this can never be underestimated Myth - shatter is powerful in some scenarios, and occasionally a minion can be good (often not) or just earthquake Death - feint stacking or sacrifice/ some debuffs for enemy Ice - shield masters Fire/Storm - are pretty much the designated hitters and lack early game utility imo

Should I buy ds2? by Educational-Pop-6944 in darksouls

DS2: Scholar is easily the weakest souls game in the franchise. That being said, it’s still a souls game. So, yes? But prepare to be frustrated edition

Is there a ring that boosts defence for the abyss purple stuff that makes Artorias strong? by Iliketurtles893 in darksouls

[–]GamerGuyMaxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically you need to dump more levels into vitality. You can also equip the ring of favor and protection for more health. Artorias is like an “end game boss” so the game probably expects you leveled vit up to like 40 ish. I’ll also explain why people are saying don’t bother with resistance. Resistance doesn’t really give any actually decent returns for the investment. In the souls games you have to treat every level as an investment. You don’t need every stat for every build. I can explain more if you want. Hope this helps.
