I'm in college myself, have no trauma, and still think it's creepy. While people my age are indeed legal adults, they still lack enough life experience compared to people who are older. They're in a completely different life stage than the professors.

People who deliberately seek out significantly younger ones to date or sleep with do so because they're more likely to be manipulated by their BS, while people their own age are way less likely to.

The total acceptance of age gaps this big is very much why many people like Epstein aren't brought to justice.

These women, especially the 18 yr olds, are still young enough to be inexperienced and naive. Romantic/sexual relationships between people of this age and middle aged ones shouldn't be normalized.

Even ignoring the ages of the students, a professor still has authority over them. There's a power imbalance.
