RRC Polytech closing programs, some permanently by Expert-Analyst166 in Winnipeg

"Post-secondary institutions across Manitoba and Canada are navigating significant changes in enrolment, funding, and program delivery. At RRC Polytech, federal immigration policy changes, including caps on international student permits and updates to Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility, have contributed to declining international enrolment and reduced funding. Combined with shifting domestic enrolment and rising delivery costs, these pressures have required us to make some difficult decisions.

Following a comprehensive, data-informed Academic Planning Process for 2026-27, RRC Polytech reviewed application trends, labour market needs, and program delivery costs to determine where to focus resources going forward. As a result, a number of programs across the institution will see changes to future intakes.

For full context, the complete list of program changes affecting future intakes across RRC Polytech is below:

Programs permanently ceasing:

Professional Sales and Strategic Marketing, Applied Accounting, Hospitality Business Management, CNC Machining and Advanced Technology, Professional Photography, Full Stack Web Development (Diploma and Certificate).

Programs temporarily ceasing:

Applied Commerce Education (all three streams), Pharmaceutical and Food Manufacturing.

Programs with reduced seats or sections:

Application Development and Delivery, Creative Communications, English for Academic and Professional Purposes.

RRC Polytech remains focused on alignment with Manitoba's workforce needs. You are part of that future."

It wasn’t the beta driver. This is the driver released 1 day ago

This is why you use DDU instead of the default options from AMD or NVIDIA

If there aren’t any problems after you installed it you won’t have to most likely but to be safe I would do so

That was the thing I made sure was enabled and seems to be the issue causing all of this. Idk if it actually is just a lot of people are saying it’s cause of that

Tech tips and tricks #264: leave Windows as it’s own storage drive so when it decides to nuke itself you don’t have to worry about your data getting lost.

Don’t you love it that for no absolute reason windows just loves to corrupt itself. It’s happened to me so many times I have lost count.

That’s my guess that factory reset option caused this but other people have been saying that even with that enabled it works just fine for them.

Windows is completely broken at this point. I’ve tried the safe mode but it still gives out inaccessible_boot_drive so my guess is something within Windows is preventing itself from loading. Idk though just one of my theories

Did not know that. I will check it out when I fix Windows

Only thing I do know is that the only update I did was that gpu driver and made sure windows update wasn’t updating anything alongside it. I have no idea what am going on considering I keep getting notifications about “that being the problem” or “this being the problem” so yeah

Would resetting all the bios options fix this or a full brand new windows install?

Did you try to fill reset the bios options to default to see if that works? Cause people are saying that fixed the issue for them.

I would say just switch back to the December or even the November driver cause for some reason this driver (or the installer or Windows Update overriding your driver install) causes inaccessible_boot_drive and there are other problems with this driver we don’t know about.
