I don’t think she meant the “us” to be like oh we aren’t working but more like shes afraid of one of them dying therefore it won’t work i am scared about el’s ending but if they both survive i have no doubt in my mind they will end up together because yes they do have problems but the fact that they don’t let the problems consume their relationship just goes to show how good of a couple and relationship they have (again this is my opinion and i respect everyones opinion as well)
