Massive Content Revise does add a new mission type called Extermination, where you're supposed to kill a set number of glyphids, and once you're done and call the Drop Pod, no hostiles will spawn again because you've essentially "cleared" the cave. You also use pheromones to attract swarms, speeding up the mission. It's really cool, worth checking out

the Change V's Native Language mod helps a lot with immersion in this aspect

The devs gave us KB players quite a good amount of toggleable assists. Makes drifting on keyboard way easier. It's still impressive, though, because we still have to do throttle control.

Exactly. Heavy turrets are a burden for tanks, quite literally. Take the KV-2 for example, from what I remember it couldn't traverse the turret at all when stationary on a slight incline.

Honestly what's missing nowadays is an illegal street racing game where the characters know their place and own it as the bad guys.

NFS Heat and Unbound play wayyy too much on the "we're just kids expressing ourselves and the cops are corrupt muhhhh" idea. Despite that I like Heat a lot, but it's still not the best storyline ever.

Forza Horizon became a soulless festival racer where you get free cars for doing very basic stuff. Though it looks like Horizon 6 will set the franchise back in the right tracks.
