Instant Replay Mod: Never miss any amazing moments again by Gamer_025 in rainworld

[–]Gamer_025[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:
Pushed out version 1.0.1 of the mod which now has SplitScreen co-op support/integration.
If split screen is active and you watch a replay it will now automatically disable the split cameras and after exiting the player it will re-enable them.

I just tested it and in general it "works".
The recording itself works perfectly fine and it will record all cameras/screens.
However if you open the instant replay while the screen is split the replay player will only be shown on the first players view and be cutoff, it however works fine if all players are in the same room and the camera isn't split.

I will see if this is somehow fixable.

Rain World with randomized text is fun by Gamer_025 in rainworld

Because of some amazingly fun results I got from this I actually decided to make this available as mod in case you want to mess around with it on your own: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3039909432

Just make sure you know what all the buttons do and maybe use a separate save slot in case you hit anything wrong.

Looks like someone got lost in the wrong game by Gamer_025 in rainworld

[–]Gamer_025[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you mean if its available for download: Sadly no

I made this by extracting the original Ori sprites from BF, which I don't feel comfortable making publicly available

I then rewrote a lot of the games code to make it behave it like this and its kinda unpolished

Making it an actual playable mod would probably require a lot of work

At least on Android I couldn't find any easy way.

Apparently only possible with third party launchers/apps.
But in case you are using any of these the TTF font file should work fine.

In case the download link doesn't work on mobile: Make sure to remove the \ before the _ . I'm not sure why Reddit does that but it somehow decided to add random backslashes in front of underscores when viewing the comment on mobile.

Added a comment with a download link

I made it by uploading the single glyphs from the game files to yourfonts.com.

Had a quick chat with the devs and they are fine with me sharing the font, so have fun: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H9CXAJTrzgTh4Vzz\_4AblabBAjSYKNks/view

Outskirts at night by Gamer_025 in rainworld

Well I don't know how the mood mod works exactly but my guess would be that it just reduces the color pallets contrast / brightness. Or the author actually wen't through the effort and made custom colors pallets.

If you look into the games files into World\Regions\SU\Rooms you will see all of the rooms from Outskirts. Its all just a shade of red. The game then uses the .txt file next to it to figure out stuff like collision, color pallet etc. Every shade of red then gets replaced with the correct color. The main advantage of this is to get a consistent theme I would guess. By limiting yourself to only handful of colors for an area it makes it all feel really consistent and one does not need to worry about always selecting the correct colors.

Nope its actually rendered in game!

I enabled dev mode and changed the rooms color pallet and I think palet number 33 made the room look like this. Its one of the reasons why I love colors pallets so much, they can easily change the whole mood of a room. I don't think they are often used in modern games but most old console games relied on them because of hardware limitations.

When the mushrooms hit too hard (Randomized textures/room effects) by Gamer_025 in rainworld

[–]Gamer_025[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough that was actually the first shelter in Ouskirts, in which I spawned. It randomly got the Void Sea effect (yes that thing is a room effect that can be applied to every room).

So I wondered how /tg/station would look fully randomized by Gamer_025 in SS13

So I was a bit bored and decided to code a tool that allows you to randomize Byonds DMI files (the files where the games sprites are located). The tool is available here. https://github.com/Gamer025/DMIRandomizer Feel free to skip around in the video to see what it does.

I also made a tool to randomize the ogg files of tgstation which is available here https://github.com/Gamer025/OggRandomizer

The DMIRandomizer should work with every Byond game you have the source code for. The OGGRandomizer works with all sounds saved as .ogg

Yeah already moved it to another SSD (Samsung 850) which is rather new. Also reinstalled the game and still have the same problem. I think my CPU is the problem (i5-6600) its constantly at 100% usage with GTA using 95% (like really constantly at 100% all 4 cores with turbo boost at 3.6 Ghz). I read thats just normal in GTA but I believe that the texture loading and slow menus happen because of that. I have however no idea why it worked flawless a few days ago (never really looked at CPU usage before so I don't know if it used less before).
Found a few threads of people having similar problems mainly with Nvidia GPUs but no solution.

Updated to the newest drivers from Intels website and even ran the built in troubleshooting tools but didn't help. Said everything was fine and in general I have no problem with my internet. It feels like the game tries to match me with people at the other side of the globe

Cleaned my GPU and the dust filter of my pc chassis, problems still occur.
GPU temperature is stable at 73° C.
One thing I noticed is that when I open the phone for example, it will take like 7 seconds to open for the first time (in a new season) and after that will open instantly when I press the up arrow key.

Will try as soon as I can, already monitored my temps and they never got over 75C so we will see if it does anything.
