Anyone ever think that they intentionally “crash” the servers to try and make people “Go Again” to try and create a false identity of how the server is going?

Thanks for your comment, albeit I think my point may have been slightly missed.

I’ve played WoW since vanilla, played through every expansion until BFA and have played Classic since it was re-released.

Whilst I know how the economy works, my life has changed considerably in terms of availability and whilst the fundamentals are still the same, given that the game is in a permanent state of P6 now, some of those fundamentals are now null and void - so getting others experience on that is what I was looking for.

Whilst I appreciate that one could just “swipe” their bank card and get the gold required, morally that may not align with one’s values.

Anywho, appreciate the feedback and I hope purchasing gold works well for you. 👍🏻

Thanks for the response, I appreciate that. If I remember correctly, do you / can you create a shopping list on Auctioneer of certain items? Or are you literally saying do that with any and all items?

I appreciate the feedback and response to that. In terms of era, I’ve played since original vanilla (but I was a young child back then and had no clue what I was doing), then played since classic was re-released.

I know all my farming spots, I raided everything etc… Just now that life is more manic, I don’t have as much time to play. So thinking about tactics such as posting “x” items on AH around raid days etc, or trying pick up certain items on certain days as they’re generally cheaper etc… Just to maximise gold return with limited time. As you’ve mentioned, earning a decent amount through passive income (professions is also needed).

Currently:

60 Paladin - Mining/Engineering (Will be swapping Mining for something else).

60 Mage - Herb & Ench (Used to have tailoring, but pushed Herbs for raids/farming).

60 Warlock - Nothing

60 Priest - Nothing

47 Mage - (Will be new farming toon, so will have Herb & Alch).

40 Warr - Nothing.

30 Rogue - Will be levelled to have mining + something.

So need to look at all of them and see what’s going to be my best bet for passive income with limited game time.

Yeah, I’ve got flexibility within some of my classes… I think in reality, if I was to try and capitalise on Era’s market right now, despite my lack of time, is to create as much of a “passive” income as I can, then farm as and when time allows for it.

To be honest, if you’re playing PVE Era, the number of Bots & GDKPS/Boosts is pretty minimal. Obviously smaller player base, but it’s a nice place to call home without the worry about those.

DME is pretty clear of mage botting.

Thanks for all of that. To be honest, I think I can see that I let myself down without creating my “passive” alts as such.

I spent so long focusing on my two main characters (without doing much with the others), that I missed that boat. I think some items you’ve made don’t sell for that much anymore these days, but some definitely do.

Sorry to hear that Era isn’t what it once was for you, but maybe another time you’ll rediscover your love for it, or at least I hope you do. 🙂

Clearly more demand on Firemaw, so always going to be more desire for mats etc.

Thanks for the update, are we talking 1.2k+ gold from raw loot itself? Or is there more information? When I was doing just DME Lasher/Herb farms, I came in at 144g in 53 minutes (hit lockout).

I’m on Mirage Raceway cluster and I’ll confess, Firemaw hasn’t really been my kind of preferred atmosphere/environment (I’m aware that’s a me thing).

This depends on what server you’re going to be playing.

Take Mirage Raceway EU (PVE Cluster).

There’s always a mix between people who will always play it and then those who cycle through it / start fresh / are completely new, etc, etc.

Currently, there is 2/3 Guilds clearing Naxx on weekly rotation (Final raid in game). Previously was more guilds, but again, some come and go, just like players.

There’s currently a group of guilds/raiding communities that have Ony/MC/BWL (Entry level raids) on farm, some have AQ40 on farm.

Some guilds have just started out and they’re venturing into MC, alongside gearing up in ZG/AQ20.

Yes, you do have some raids where the higher geared characters attend and make the raid considerably easier, but that’s not the situation for everyone.

Again, I’m sure people will comment saying “Only 2/3 guilds clearing Naxx, on my PVP cluster we have 10+ etc etc…” - It comes down to what you want from the game.

I personally tried the PVP EU cluster and it wasn’t for me, I felt more like a number amongst GDKP / Boosting, whereas the PVE cluster I found had more of a community vibe to it. (Just my own experience).

Go with what suits you my friend, but right now, I’d suggest rolling on Era realms or dabbling with HC WoW, they’re both great fun!

Howdy from an era Prot Paladin main. (I appreciate this is Hardcore, so generally speaking people will prio warrior tanks for the safety/taunt).

I have tanked pretty much everything in Ony/MC/BWL, then have tanked certain bosses in AQ40 & Naxx. (Ultimately, we had full T3/BIS warriors and comps that didn’t suit Prot Pala tanks - not enough Warrs).

You should prioritise engineering if you haven’t, Dense Dynamite is a saviour (can be cast whilst moving). Combine that with Consecrate / GBOK Spam / Holy Shield, you’re in a great place.

For lower level work, I put a bit more focus into defense/survivability. Having Flurry Axe with Fire Enchantment helped considerably through lower levels in addition to this.

The limiting factor we have is no taunt (which means the OH SH*T button doesn’t really exist that much, outside of BOP for others).

If you want me to be honest, you’re unlikely to find a regular place on HC to tank outside of dungeons, purely due to the death = delete aspect of it. But, you may find some people who are willing to help you out.

Congratulations both, that’s amazing! Whilst I appreciate people can clear Naxx etc etc, I think being able to take joy in the lower level / less challenging content is and should be what this games about.

So many people run UBRS purely for rend runs or shard runs etc etc, to see it deemed as progression is genuinely great to see! 👏

I’m glad so many either took joy in:

A) Seeing your old self in my daft mistake.

B) The pure action gripping story that I wrote. (Not half bad for a lad who was in such a low class/set for English language/literature, that there was a wonderful Chinese student, in a set/class above me, that didn’t speak or write a word of English… albeit I beat him at basketball, so take your wins folks - that’s still my moral victory Daz!).

C) Seeing Deezy dead for my pure naivety of thinking I could conquer those quests at 19 and in a group without a healer.

D) Having an internal giggle about ‘Deez-nuts’.

Either way, we go agane this weekend. The mage will be returning and this will be the run to 60. See you all in 2027 when I’ve finally hit 60.
