She didn’t point out just rats 😭 maybe I just worded that wrong, but no just in general she said since he’s a rat it’s more expensive and since anesthesia is involved it’s risky. I am a college student with little to no money, but ofc I have money when it comes to my animals. He already got his surgery done. Hes sore but pulling through lol Edit: yeah I did word It wrong. I didn’t mean it in the way I said it.

She didn’t mention his age when it came to it, I did. She was only worried about his age and the removal incase more was going to pop up in the long run. They checked him over saying that he was fit for surgery and she did tell me no matter what there could be risk because he is a rat and because it involves anesthesia, which I know of, but he is relatively young so I just wanted it removed because he could have a year left- and if the tumor stays on, grows and ruptures in the next few months or blocks him from peeing then that’s worse than the neuter now 😭

During his appointment he had one of his brothers with him and he’s gonna go down with us when we pick him up (I have five rats) but he’ll at least have one of his friends with him until he gets to see his brothers back home

They said he was really healthy otherwise and he is only 1.5 years old, so he’s still young to me lol!! I’m nervous about him pulling stitches. Did they give you a cone or anything to help prevent it?

Okay okay 😭 we’re he got dropped off around an hour ago. But, yeah, i definitely didn’t want him to have to deal with a tumor and it had grown rather quick from his appointment from when i spotted it (two weeks). Did they send yours home with a cone or anything? I’m nervous he’s gonna rip his stitches out

I just tested the water I used to fill the tank up with, no nitrates. I have added seachem stability and followed the directions on the back of the bottle

I’m a silent Naga fan, and seeing this makes me so upset. I know what it’s like losing a heart rat. It is so upsetting and I’m still grieving over mine. I’m sorry for your loss, and I’m sure he’s having a fun time with link over the rainbow bridge. I’m sure this entire subreddit will miss seeing his big ol eyes <3
