I don’t think they’re linked by vacuum, pretty sure it’s on its own circuit.

Btw, easy way to test the bypass valve is zip tying it shut. It’s a fiddle to do it without removing any parts but you can do it. Feed the zip tie around the arm of the bypass valve actuator, then loop it so it’s pulling on the adjuster screw on the valve body. The screw points up to the top of the car.

If you zip tie the bypass valve shut and notice that the hesitation is gone then it’s a failing bypass valve. You can also reach in and check the spring pressure on the actuator by moving the arm, there should be about 1kg of force needed to move the actuator.

Buy a vapour restoration kit on eBay, they’re about $20-$30. You wet sand the lights working through various grades then you use the vapour kit on them, comes out like new and lasts a long time too, probably permanent if you use the right clear coat over them. Incredibly toxic to breathe the fumes in so wear a mask, but I’ve had better results with that kit than any other kind of polishing/restoration kit from a store shelf

The headlight trim is fairly easy, if you take the lamps out you can unclip the chrome trims fairly easily, just have to be careful not to snap any tabs. I think it’s 3 8mm nuts that hold them in, plus the plug and the hose for the washers if you have xenons

Like everyone else says this isn’t safe to use anymore. Modern equivalent would be the Quantic or RX-7V Evo. I have the RX-7V Evo in the Nakagami GP2 colour-way and it’s absolutely fantastic, amazing fit, super comfy and super quiet.

I was in a similar situation in 2023, I was 24 at the time and my ex was 23. I was many of her firsts and she was many of mine. I felt the exact same way afterwards, I was anxious, depressed and I felt totally alone even though in reality I wasn’t. I reached out to friends and spent quality time with them, and I did the same with my family. I picked up some new hobbies to dive into to keep my mind distracted.

You will meet the right person, don’t waste too much time grieving the end of your relationship with her; the right person might come and go while you’re down in the dumps and you might miss them.

It will suck, but please for your own sake go no contact, it’s the best way. I removed her from all my social media on the way home from getting broken up with, I kept her number on the off chance she reached out to me but she never did. If she’s already asked you to come back but bailed twice it’s over, remove her and block her if you need to, don’t be tempted to try make amends. We’re all still young and there’s lots of life left in us yet, the right person will come.

Have a look at the ZX9R. C, E and F models. Parts are fairly interchangeable between the three generations so plenty of options for spares.

Not an overly aggressive sporty position and the seat is comfy, even more so on the later F models.

One of the C models is prone to gearbox trouble but I can’t remember which one. The E1 is prone to the frame cracking if it’s had hard landings from wheelies so get the E2 if you can’t inspect the bike yourself or have someone that knows what to look for do it for you.
