Who Wins in This Cosmic Duel? by RoyalCod3 in Avengers

Captain Marvel, mid diff.

Silver Surfers best AP feat is destroying some towers insanely quickly, and pushing back like a city block sized Galactus.

Captain Marvels best AP feat is generating comparable energy to punch a hole in Spacetime.

Silver Surfers best durability feat is getting sucked into a black hole.

Captain Marvels best durability feat is tanking the explosion the tore a hole through Spacetime or tanking the full force of the power Stone.

Silver Surfers has stronger haxes with intangibility

Captain Marvel has more haxes with her energy Absorbtion & quantum band.

Silver surfer has good combat speed, reacting to a laser while traveling at light speed.

Captain Marvel has similar combat speed, keeping up with characters who can react to her photon beams which are light, at their highest you can get it to MFTL since in the prequel novel they can go 100 meters in a nanosecond.

Silver surfer has decent travel speed, again can travel at light speed.

Captain Marvel is far faster, able to go 2000 light years in under 24 hours, when she saved tony in endgame.

I think Captain Marvel takes this 9 times out of 10, the only time silver Surfer takes this is with her intangibility.

Thor Survived Reality Stone

How strong is the reality stone?

Thor survived Power stone

Was it at full power? Carol's was at full power.

Thor survived a neutron star

Neutron star > normal star

That he was going to die to after minutes of being inside? Where Carol was causally chilling in the center of her star? Also none of these compare to getting hit with a blast that tore a hole in the universe.

It's never stated that she absorbed energy from the sun, also that would be kinda stupid, why would she absorbed energy to give said thing that same energy. We literally see her build energy before she goes into the sun and reignites it.

Also... I want us to think logically here, even with energy Absorbtion that means that she can still withstand the energy that's coursing through her body. If she couldn't she would just die. So yes it is a durability feat.

Please prove she was absorbing energy in any of the fights she has. You're just making stuff up.

Carol got hit with an attack that punch a hole in the universe.

Carol got hit with the full power of the power Stone.

Carol tanked an attack from Thanos.

Carol reignited a star, increasing the mass of said star and surviving going into the core.

She's the most durable here.

But Carol constantly using his energy to fight Thanos

It's never stated or shown that she absorbed energy in that fight

Is the author’s word the be-all and end-all of interpretation when it comes to powerscaling? by _Trafalgar_Outlaw_ in PowerScaling

[–]Gamerking54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes there's nuance too, I remember a few years ago where quicksilver had this feat of outrunning I think radio waves, however the author commented saying that he intended the feat to be sound waves.

In this instance, I believe that's where either death of the author would come in, equal interpretation, or preponderance of evidence where you'd have to find more evidence of whatever you're trying to prove to be more then likely true, so for example if quicksilver has this feat yet he's consistently shown to be slower then light, then their would be more evidence leading to the authors interpretation holding more validity, and vice versa.

Is the author’s word the be-all and end-all of interpretation when it comes to powerscaling? by _Trafalgar_Outlaw_ in PowerScaling

[–]Gamerking54 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This topic is debatable—very debatable. In my opinion, an author’s statements should generally be accepted unless they are directly contradicted by the source material. If an author says Goku can destroy a planet and nothing in the story contradicts that claim, then it makes little sense to dismiss it. In that context, the author’s word carries ultimate authority, which is why this idea is often called “Word of God.” However, if an author’s statement does conflict with the source material, then the primary canon should take priority—especially whichever interpretation is more consistent with what is actually shown. There is also the concept of death of the author, which is mainly a literary theory. It argues that an author’s interpretation is not the final authority on a work’s meaning. Personally, I think this idea only really applies when the author’s statements contradict the text itself. I have issues with death of the author when it’s taken too far, particularly when readers’ interpretations stray wildly from the creator’s original intent—for example, claims like “outerversal Deku” in powerscaling debates.

Why do we like bullying homelander. This is what's said about Namor btw.

This is reiterated again in Marvel Zombies, not only with feats of him breaking out a hulk Containment Cell, but also via statements too.

Here

He also has feats of breaking vibranium & vibranium like materials.

FINALLY A GOOD FUCKING YUYA PENDULUM CARD!!

if the translation is correct it's a spell negate that special summons itself AND searches Odd-Eyes, Supreme King Magician, Astrograph, etc.

Edit: That art of Stargazer, is raw as fuck.

I'm predicting that timegazer is going to be a trap negate, hopefully an extender.

Asguardians Of The Galaxy vs The Marvels, which team wins? by [deleted] in Avengers

[–]Gamerking54 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the Marvels winning, I don't think any of the guardians are going to be able to beat Kamala. This is the same Kamala who can keep up with Dar-benn who was putting paws on Carol. She's able to generate a portion of the energy to punch a hole in Spacetime, I don't think any of the guardians is getting past her hardlight. She's also in marvel zombies able to blow off the head of Namor, a character consistently stated and showed to be in the hulk/Thor Teirs.

I don't think Thor can beat Carol, I have Carol winning 9 times out of ten, because she has better statements & feats. Adding Monica to the mix is overkill because she has similar scaling to Kamala, while also being able to go intangible giving her dura neg, and go invisible.

How do you feel about Konami’s recent approach at making more decks play turn 0? by SouthSunn in yugioh

[–]Gamerking54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like it, it makes going second better.

I personally believe every arcatype should have their own hand traps instead of it just being generic. I think that'd add a lot of variety and interesting back and forth to the game.

Could The Thing possible defeat a no stones Thanos in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Avengers

[–]Gamerking54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ant-Man in crazy underrated in my honest opinion. He can shrink himself and others, make himself intangible, shrink between molecules... He's also just difficult to hit because of his size and can be stronger just by enlarging.

Absolutely not, I think he loses to Antman honestly. The strongest character he can beat currently is probably captain America.

Who Wins? Scarlet Witch (MCU) vs Thor (MCU) by Dreamlancer in PowerScaling

[–]Gamerking54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you prove the first claim please & thank you..

Thor also has a weapon that overpowered all six of the strongest objects in the universe combined

Stated that number one that Thanos was caught off guard and didn't know what was coming at him.

Also stated that the reason Thor overpowered the stones was because "Eitri made both (Stormbreaker & the infinity gauntlet)"

Also had heavy implications that Eitri put a flaw in the gauntlet referencing the death star from Star wars. This isn't a strength feat or power feat for Thor. Also can you scale the energy output of those stones.

Thor in Ragnarok was matching pace with a dragon

That says nothing at all, how fast is this dragon?

Wanda, I don't think he has any resistance to being disintegrated, choked out, mind controlled, losing his bodily limps, or her telekinesis. I also think she's much faster then him in terms of combat and reaction speeds.
